yeah it's too bad because i loved their brogue boots; one particular model they don't even sell on their Australian site.
Sad, Loakes 1880s are genuinely fantastic shoes (especially vs the crap most Australian retailers try and flogs), disappointing they went down this road.
Plenty of other goodyear welted brands out there though.

You can try the new 300G which is on the same wider G fitting as Elland.
Never heard of them and can’t access the uk site to have a browse because you automatically redirect to .com.au. Annoying.

I read the response from Mr Loake on the thread linked above by tdw - made perfect sense to me.
Total ripoff and Australian stocked range is uninspiring. The dregs of their range are sent to us it seems. There are way better options from overseas. With PayPal covering return shipping, the risk of buying a wrong size is minimised. Look into Carmina or Meermin for a start.
Just to let you know that Loake shoes Australasia provides access the the full Loake range. No dregs and if you need to change your size, you can.
