    Wave Neo Wind $79

    Do they break easily?

    feedback on the shoe: https://www.reddit.com/r/RunningShoeGeeks/comments/yflb7r/i_…

Tldr: mixed reviews - mostly 'overpriced at RRP, but likely worth it on sale' as is the case here, if its the right type of shoe for your needs that is.

Mizuno shoes are like the longest lasting brand ive ever used, almost like the Toyotas of shoes, though not a fan of the knit material here

Yep. I usually get 3+ years out of each pair. Around 10,000km or so at least.

  • how much different btw this and, say, wave rider and wave inspire?

    • +1

It's similar to a wave rider

Its good if you are doing just running and is similar in feel to the Rider. I just wouldnt buy it if you are looking at agility based exercises as well, as the shoe stability on those movements isnt that great.

I've done 2 sessions of threshold repeats in them and they're… acceptable. I have better options available for both easy runs and fast efforts—there's too little cushioning for me—so I've relegated them to walking shoes. (P.S. I'd take the Wave Rider 26 and 27 over these any day.)

  • Cool new version is incoming then. The mystery shoe.

  • Thanks. I've ordered a pair. They'll sit in the cupboard

  • Cheers needed a new pair of shoes

I thought Mizuno was bankrupt already, anyway I prefer Asics.

    • Donno who you were thinking about. Definitely not Mizuno. They are not well known in Australia on the whole but overseas there are countries and Japanese itself that Mizuno is the brand to go for…golf for example.

      • You are right, I simply haven't seen them for a while.
