[PC] Free: Leisure Suit Larry 2 Looking For Love (In Several Wrong Places) @ Indiegala

1740

Leisure Suit Larry Goes Looking for Love (In Several Wrong Places) is the second game in Al Lowe's Leisure Suit Larry series. Continuing the plot of the previous game, the swinging single Larry Laffer has finally found his true love and is happily living with her. Right? Wrong!.. Because Larry is mercilessly thrown out by his great love and is left all alone, penniless, and womanless, in Los Angeles. Accidentally, Larry comes into contact with KGB agents who will pursue him all over the globe from now on. And there is also the evil doctor Noontonyt plotting evil schemes on a remote tropical island… Looks like Larry will have to forget about his women-related problems for now… or is it so?

Considering it never existed on the Commodore 64 that is quite a memory you got there.

probably played Leisure Suit Larry 4 on the C64

On the old pc EGA monitor

          EGA monitor

          EGA long time no see

EGA, the envy of CGA users.

          • @turtlesinmypants: Truer words have never been spoken. I'd even prefer amber monochrome over the standard green and purple CGA monitor. They couldn't have picked uglier colours.

      • "mic drop".

      • I think I played Larry 1 the lagoon one on an amstrad pc but now I’m not sure!

It might seem like it was on the C64 and I've half thought that too soemtimes because I spent most of my time on the C64, but I then I remember this was on my mostly neglected Amiga and I was playing Maniac Mansion on the C64 around the same time.

Amigas were so good.. I'm tempted to pre order an A500 Mini

Remember feeling like I was going to get grounded for a year playing these behind my dad's back in the day if caught. Sierra Games were the bomb back then!

LSL and police quest, loved me some sierra

Kings Quest, Space Quest were up there too!

@turtlesinmypants: Had the box set of KQ1/2/3. Still have the original floppies and cheat books for Conquests of Camelot and the Laura Bow mysteries - Colonel's Bequest / Amon Ra. Loved those games!

            • +1

@Maz78: Loved Conquest of Camelot on PC. Purchased a copy in Cash Converters circa 1994 for $5. By that time the game was old, needed a walkthrough guide to complete.

              • @rokufan: It's still a hard part. Those questions are so old now!

    • Getting past the initial "prove you're an adult questions" at the start of LSL was the hardest part for me.

Thanks OP, got one for my 6 years old

One thing that wasn't touched on with the LSL deal from the other day…… was the ditty/LSL theme. It's just so cool and catchy, good for a "ringtone" as well (then having to explain to the uneducated where it's from :P).

  • As an LSL fan, I'd play ANY LSL game before this one. Except maybe Box Office Bust.

Make sure you save BEFORE you get on the boat

  • Man meeting a chick in a room smoking a cigarette where you’re supposed to be chatting up the girl for getting some possible action, meanwhile I’m not doing it right, getting constant “Larry can’t do that to the pot plant”
