I've got the open-back version but these have a great mic on them. No idea about the sound quality on the closed-back but the open-back sounds great. People say it's similar to an AD700x or AD900x, both enthusiast mid tier headphones.

The headband on these is a bit iffy. Have a similar non gaming pair and it's rather uncomfortable

Amazon reviews are pretty in depth: https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B01AYZZUDC/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt…

Really? I have a pretty big head and this type of headband is by far the most comfortable I have ever used. (ATHA550Z)

As an owner of the ADG1X, I've heard it depends on head size, my larger head loves it asides from the imprint it leaves in my hair

I have these, the mic is pretty good, head paddles are weird but very comfortable for me, love the paddles… But some people need to use an elastic band between them.

Audio is fantastic, the only gaming headset I've had which is also good for music, Tidal hd audio with these is an experience.
In saying that I don't own audiophile headphones but these shit on everything else I've had.

    Kinda cheap looking plastic tho.
I'm keen to try the open back version.

Have these. Would not buy again, even at $50.

    • why not? I have them and found them quite good. The only gripe I had is the microphone is very sensitive, so will pick up background noise and such. Other than that the microphone quality is good, the audio quality is good, the noise isolation is good, comfort is good.

      • Sound quality is not as good aa my 10 year old $50 Audio Technica m20, extremely uncomfortable.

  • This or CM MH751?

    I play Dota, OW etc

    • Can't vouch for the audio-tech's (I own a pair of M40's for music/producing) but the 751's are ultra comfortable, and the mic is great for discord.
In fact, music actually sounds really good with them, so unless you require audiophile tier headphones, you could easily use the CM's for listening.

Plus the removable mic is great for situations where you don't need a mic, like travelling or whatnot and if required just plug the mic back, and you're good to go.

      • Thanks. Can't wait for them to drop in price!
