32

These were $39 (plus post) the other day on catchoftheday, twas temping just to use when I fly (not that often). Couldn't resist this pricepoint though - thought some of you might be interested.

Hear your music not the noise with these noise cancelling headphones from Sony. These are great for the commute as they block out approx 87.4% of ambient noise, so plug them in, sit back and enjoy your sweet tunes.

Each sold separately.

These Sony headphones are a factory refurbished product. A refurbished product is one which usually has been returned to the supplier and is then fixed by a technician and thoroughly tested. As a result, refurbished product will usually have a lower rate of return than new products since they are all individually checked and tested while new products are not always. So all-in-all, these headphones look and perform like a brand new product, and you get them at a fraction of the price!

I had a set of these and didn't like them at all. They were pretty much useless on the airplane - if you do use them I recommend getting a small headphone amplifier like a Fiio as the volume may be a tad low for some.

I was about an hour into my flight and took them off and went back to my CX300's. They are far more effective at blocking noise and great for day to day use also.

  • Cheaper on eBay & bad reviews - no deal!!!
I am surprised no one has negged this deal, yet.

"We strongly recommend that you avoid buying these headphones"
"Well, they’re not the worst headphones we’ve reviewed, but we’ll go out on a limb to say that you should probably reconsider if you find these on a shelf somewhere and feel like shelling out for them. The Sony MDR-NC7s massively underperform, and despite their claims to the contrary, don’t actually cancel more than 2dB of ambient noise. On top of that, they require batteries to give you subpar performance at a price that just isn’t really a good match for their quality."

    That's a very bad review!!

  • I have a pair and took them on my monthly trip to Sydney noise cancelling was next to useless sound quality was rubbish like skullcandy rubbish. Paid 79 for mine in hindsight even 25 would be too much. I suspect the reason you see so many refurbished ones on eBay is because anyone with 1/2 a brain would return them for a refund I was not that smart.

Comes with free ear wax! BONUS!

  • Refurbished headphones. No thanks.

"New products are not all individually tested" huh? Right…

These look and sound like brand new product because they were used once and returned.

Probably not as good as Bose noise cancelling…

      no sh*t sherlock.

    • Don't mention Bose. There are too many people here who are just sour grapes and can't afford one. I learnt from my mistake. (See below) LOL

Bose are no doubt the best noise cancelling headphone if you are looking for one with noise cancelling.

let me know when you get one at the same price. I could buy a Porsche 911 which is no doubt one of the best cars but doesn't mean I can afford it.
