    Targeted offer

  • thanks OP- never even knew these offers existed; i've got it under my WP card tho; nice.

  • Why is it always only on credit cards??? nothing on debit cards

    • I assume maybe they want you to accrue debt so they can charge you interest and get more value out of you. Encouraging you to use it on food delivery purchases might also make you more susceptible to using it later for similar products (I dunno, armchair psychologising here)

sorry to hijack this, but a warning to UE users.. my account with a strong PW got hacked into the other night, i found out when 2 emails for orders came through, checked the app and 1 showed as delivered, 2 ongoing, of course their chat was no help, basically they cant do anything. it has a UK number now showing on my account, I changed it back then made a password that was so strong that I had to write it down to know it again .. but alas even with that they were able to get back into my account, change the phone number again (AU number this time) and push through 2 more orders.
it was over $500 worth, and my CC company were called during the orders and they put a stop payment, and i was unable to remove my payment methods from my wallet until all 5 orders were complete.

I did a google search and see this kind of thing has been happening for years, hackers get info and sell it on the dark web etc

My suggestion if you have Uber or Uber Eats is to remove all payment methods from your accounts, and only add them when you are about to use their services again (then remove it again and repeat)

First time I've ever received a Westpac offer that was useful to me. Interesting to know that the amounts are variable like this.

    • Same. But I did have a $20 off $30 offer back in July.

  • thanks OP
