Win10 Cannot Access Synology NAS from Explorer (Path Not Found)

I recently installed a new NAS DS211j but one of the computers cannot access the files. Screenshot provided (https://files.ozbargain.com.au/upload/83594/90656/capture.pn…).

I can see the NAS name "Ds211j" in Windows File Explorer but it reports "network path not found" error when I click it. All functions and files are running fine if I use192.168.0.XXX:5000 in browser.

This computer is running Windows 10 ver 21H1. I have multiple computers and multiple NAS setup. This computer have access to all other NAS except this one. All other computers have access to this NAS. I could not find any difference the network settings. Searched Internet and didn't find any relevant information.

    Try \\192.168.0.XXX

    Check SMB Config on NAS.

• Check that your network is set to private and network sharing options are turned on

  • On the NAS, go to Control Panel, then File Services, then click on the Advanced Services button.

What are Maximum SMB protocol and Minimum SMB protocol set to?

  • Your NAS probably using SMB version 1 which was not supported by Windows 10
Try to enable it using this instruction
    Hope this will help.

    • Synology supports smb3

  • My Synology does the same. It keeps falling off the network, but i can access it via a browser.

I leep having yo do the SMB share reset every few months.

  • I've had the same problem. It's infuriating. Playing around with SMB settings made no difference. Try mapping it as a drive with the Synology Assistant.
