This is the new version 2 " with redesigned PCBA and optimized antennas to improve the 4G performance." Also now takes micro SIM. I don't have one so can't say how much better performance is compared to the V1 here in Aus.

This unit is preconfigured with the Quectel EP06-E (Cat 6 support) mini-PCIe LTE modem card (you can swap out with other mini-PCIe cards however you will have to diassemble, be VERY careful with the uFL connectors (don't ask me how I know 😉) and void your warranty. May be useful if you need to change bands/country)

The EP06-E has band support for all the Aussie Telcos: FDD LTE: B1/B3/B5/B7/B8/B20/B28/B32 TDD LTE: B38/B40/B41 WCDMA: B1/B3/B5/B8 (yes even the "illusive" band 28 (700Mhz) 😁 )

No internal battery option but you can run off an appropriate power bank/car adapter (12v/1.5A) with the appropriate connector cable (USB A to barrel connector)

2 external 5 DBi LTE antenna with standard SMA connectors so you can easily replace the antennae if required. 2 DBi WiFi antennae are internal.

Does everything the other GL.iNet range do so can still be used in a WISP repeater situation but with the inclusion of the build in 4G LTE modem for connectivity.

Note: This prebuilt configuration does NOT include the optional Built-in Bluetooth or Zigbee Module
