  • Ordered decaf. Thanks OP

    • How much did you order them for? It's showing $43.20 for 100 capsules = 0.43 per pod.

  • Can't go past that price. Fave is PNG. Top up decaf Ristretto. Cheers OP!

Any stand outs? I don't wanna hundred too many!

Someone recommended Columbia in a previous post. I just finished the 100 I picked up from Prime Day and was happy with them.
Just ordered another 100 plus a few others to try.

Still works out at $44 /kg vs $11kg for a really good fresh coffee.

It takes 30 seconds max to make a coffee with coffee pod machines hence highly useful for those lacking time.

      • I just refill a pod while one is being made. No time loss really..and this is ozbargain. Similar to doing a bit more and using giftcards to buy things.

By refilling with fresh coffee you get a 75% discount on this deal, and a far better coffee.

        No brainer for me.

    • Where can you get $11/KG good fresh coffee?

Only place I can think of with that kind of price is Aldi.

      • That's the one.$13 for their premium range is a better buy. But the $11 bag is still light years better than LOR pods. These pod machines can actually make a real good fresh espresso as well.

Anyway, just put the numbers up as food for thought.

        • They are alright, but I don't think you could really call them fresh since you don't know when they were roasted.
That said, I've never had a dud one, my wife seems to enjoy them, so they are always my go to cheapo that I get whenever there aren't any decent deals.

Also, I don't really think you could call that easy. I do have an electric grinder, but that's another $200 and grinding them by hand is… hmmm, probably not something I'd want to do in the morning. I could probably grind the coffee up at night, but freshly ground coffee are better.

I am sure my sink hates me because cleaning the coffee out in sink inevitably causes some grains to go down the drain.

          • @iridiumstem: Aldi beans you mean? Roast date is top right / side of packet written backwards.

Sunbeam conical burr grinder $45 at Harris Scarfe. Put pod underneath, press button, alfoil over top. Done.

Make pod two (for a partner or for tomorrow while pod 1 brews). A day old grind still beats a pre made pod of a few weeks/ month old.

When finished, do a rinse cycle of the machine into a cup. Helps the machine. Remove alfoil, Chuck pod into cup of water, stir.

Remove pod, chuck coffee grounds / water on to back lawn, garden, pot plant. Full of nitrogen.. everyone wins.

            • @tunzafun001: They had roasting dates? Hmmm, I might have to check mine again next time. I always open the beans up and store them in an air tight jar, so I don't have the packaging with me right now.

Frankly though, I thought capsule coffee's whole idea is that everything is stored in an airtight container so it doesn't stale easy. I didn't notice anything off about the capsule coffee while I was using them.

Anyways, I still think capsule coffee are much easier to deal with than having a set up for grinder, putting the coffee beans into the capsule, etc etc. Plus, it is always consistent unlike say coffee machines.

I frankly miss using the capsule coffee machine, it was bit expensive and the results I get from other set up is cheaper and better. That said, they were seriously hassle free and consistent compared to the options I use right now.

    • Yeah, just ease of use.

I don't disagree tho, when I can afford and find an automatic machine I'd go back to beans!

      • Just an FYI, I bought a Delonghi Perfecta. The Map pod machine can actually handle finer grinds and oily beans better (so gives a better crema). Also, you still need to rinse out the brew unit and grinds tray etc in a full auto machine.

  • still waiting for sensory lab

If you subscribe will it be this price each time they auto purchase and deliver?

      No

2 of the L'or Barista double capsules are also on sale. Not as cheap as the single ones but they don't seem to go on sale as often so it might be a good deal for some (NOTE they only work in L’OR BARISTA Coffee Machines)-

    • Basically double the price tho

      • They are over twice as much but they are twice as large as the normal ones though.

  • Good offer, bad timing. Still with lots of capsules. Maybe next time

    Plus delivery if under $39?

  • I think Cosco is cheaper, I think about $26-ish or less than $20 when on sale if I remember correctly,
still have so many from last year, we going through like 20 pods a week.

    • Sometimes they are comparable to Amazon pricing, but sometimes not. The specials around $20 are the 60 packs, at least in Sydney that's my experience.

      • Yes you are correct those are 60 packs, thanks for that.

Thanks OP, snagged 300. These are lifesavers now that I'm locked down and can't hit up the work nespresso machine 5 times a day.

  • Ordered 200! Thanks!

  • Have you guys that have ordered these deals in the past noticed short expiry dates?
Just wondering cos the last big batch i ordered that was cheap thru amazon/ozbargain had very short expiry - like probs the reason for the sale is to clear the ones approaching their Used by date… last time i got burnt. Wondering if still the case

    • If it's an unreasonably short expiry date hit up Amazon support and they'll refund you.

    • Just for posterity, received my Profondo capsules from this deal and they were dated 3/1/2022 - so have approx 5 months to use them. Not what I would call short-dated, but nowhere near as fresh as I would have hoped.

Will probably still get through them though as that averages to 9-10 per week.

  • Any recommendations for someone who likes the Nespresso Arpeggio?

    • Try their ristretto

  • need to add $5.99 for delivery fee if under $39.

  • Do these work in nespresso virtuo machines?

    • My understanding is that they are not compatible with the Vertuo machines. Happy to be corrected if I am mistaken.

    • no, this only works in original Nespresso which are small capsules.

  • Has anyone tried the L'OR Espresso Coffee Or Absolut? Any feedback? https://www.amazon.com.au/LOr-Espresso-Coffee-Sublime-Compat…

Order 2 (or order a 200 pack for $59.95) through the Amazon mobile app and get $10 off with AUG21 code + free shipping. 25c per capsule!

  • Any feedback on the Colombia ones? Tempted to try it but not sure what it's comparable to…

eg. Onyx 12 is probably a tad strong for my wife and I, yet we liked the Vittoria Inca Peru which has an intensity 15. In the original Nespresso line we used to like the 9's.

    • Cheers OP, ordered Supremo and Papua New Guinea to have sent to my parents.

  • Supremo 10 is the best I think. I've tried most flavours.

  • waiting on my free machine

  • My L'or Supremo 10 arrived today. Expires 22 Apr 2022.

  • Did anyone else get a notification today that their items have not been shipped?

Mine was expected to be delivered by yesterday, but then today it is saying "Expected 23 Aug" and then separately "Not yet shipped".

  • It still has not yet shipped. Tried to cancel Amazon is saying it's about to ship and being unflexible. I think given that it's been 2 and half weeks and nothing's been dispatched when the ads say it's in stock it's very cr*p on their behalf. I don't think I'll be shopping for this item anytime soon.

    • +1

I had to wait a bit for a restock too. Good thing is we are probably getting a fresh batch of capsules with a longer best before date. It works for me as I still have enough capsules to last a couple months.
