Instead of the screen, why not throw in the 3D glasses?

Good question! We couldn't secure enough stock - apparently Epson Australia are out of glasses at the moment.

        • Cheers. I try. :)

      • And normally how much per pair for the 3D glasses? We have two Samsung 3D TV at home, 2010 model. I guess we cannot use these 3D glasses for this Espon, can we?

I'll answer for you and say no. Pretty well all the companies have come up with a proprietry solution for 3D. Other than aniglyph glasses (a blue and red lense) and a couple of other polarized solutions, they are all company dependant.

        • I'm not 100% sure if you can use other brands of M-3Di Active Shutter 3D glasses. According to Epson America there seems to be some specific Panasonic models that "have been tested and are known to work with EPSON 3D projectors". I'll see if I can get a more definite answer…

It looks like there is a growing industry standard for 3D Glasses. These universal glasses from XPAND claim to work with the Epson EH-TW5900 and other 3D projectors. They also have a list of compatible Samsung TVs on the same website which might help.

    • Buy the same one from MegaBuy for only 1788 :)

For less than $100 more I would go for the one with the screen…i.e. this bargain

      • MegaBuy, I don't think this is a fair neg given that current deal includes the pull-down screen. Revoking.
