Can this be upgraded to 32GB Ram?
A quick google search brings up this: https://www.notebookcheck.net/Lenovo-ThinkPad-L15-laptop-rev…
Is it easy to DIY adding another 8gb RAM?
It's pretty easy if you have a basic screwdriver, a flat plastic card, and about 10 minutes.
And the correct RAM module.
@Weshouldgetsushi: Yes. You will want 3200mhz DDR4 SODIMM RAM for best performance.
Thank you, and I just need to find the instruction on youtube ya…
great deal… waiting for the nitpickers to let me know screen specs
I wish it is 17inches
that's what she said
Never had that complaint here.
It's 250 nits IPS. Contrast and colours are decent, but not 100% RGB. Same as the Thinkpad E15 and similar models. It's perfectly adequate for everything except for use in direct sunlight or highly colour sensitive work, which is fine for about 95% of folks out there, myself included.
Is it 45% or 72% NTSC?
45%
touch option is 300nit, non touch is 250nit
@shabaka: Oh thanks!
Is this powerful enough for heavy excel users?
Can you use this for gaming? Say something like dragon age 3. Im not a frequent gamer but do have some craving for gaming sometimes
It should run on this fine, but it will struggle with more demanding titles
Storage upgradable? Trying to google but kids are trying to stop me finding bargains…
Yes, I think it has a spare sata port as well.
Thanks
from personal experience with this model
screen is ok, but obviously not for photo or video editing, as colour space coverage sucks
you can still calibrate it if you like, and enjoy media consumption just fine
screen brightness at 250nit isn't great though, touch option increases that to 300nit which is usable
good build. good keyboard
a bit on the heavy side for a business grade 15 incher
serviceable laptop, good for the price
for a bit more they have a Toshiba option with 3 year warranty based around Intel i5 it's built fine, lighter, and warranty is better
but Lenovo is a bit more reliable
Thanks for the review. I am thinking to use this for mainly office work, usually a lot of Excel spread sheets. Is this suitable? Also could you please share the link Toshiba one please. Thank you
Thank you
These are like almost half the performance…? Seems like a downgrade to me. I'd pick this Lenovo any day of the week.
@stephendt: exactly R7 pro 4000 series vs i5 10th gen
@stephendt: hmm did I say they are same performance? I didn't
just same price range to put things into perspective
How do these compare with Inspiron 7 series?
Can anyone tell me if this is touchscreen or not please?
Sanpped one of these up, thanks all..
Can anyone help me out with where to by extra RAM to suit this laptop for a fair price?Just received the Laptop. It is great, very happy with it.
Send me a message if you want 8gig ram for this laptop. I am looking at upgrading mine to dual 16 gig sticks
Just ordered one. Excellent deal. Strongly recommend upgrading this yourself to 16GB RAM though. Worth noting that this price didn't include delivery for me - this was an extra $13.50. Also there is a sneaky surcharge for Credit Card / Paypal that added another $9 to the price, use Bank Deposit to get around this.
