Would this drive be good for storing and playing PC games?
a ssd would be better. otherwise a wd black hdd should out perform a nas drive.
Cheaper to get external drive and shuck
Almost every external drive in existence is a much slower SMR drive that can only perform under burst conditions and is unsuitable for raid.
Plenty of the larger ones, 10TB and plus, are CMR
I'm not sure that is true anymore. External drives of this size are about this price too, and stock is pretty low.
Example: CentreCom $389Wait for Amazon sale.
At the speed hard drives are increasing in size, it's almost cheaper to just throw them away and get the newer capacity instead of making a raid bigger.
Great for a RAID 6 setup… ;)
AFTERPAY10 is one time use. It's worth to remind everybody.
Was about to grab one, they just increased the price to $470..
Ouch that sucks, thanks for commenting though. I just expired the deal
Don't buy Toshiba hard drives, you cannot RMA them.
In Australia RMA is the retailers problem not the buyers
You had me excited for a moment until I realised how old that code was.
