Anyone know how many liters this is?
"Our most compact Airfryer, fits 0.8kg of fries"
Size 0.8kg Capacity
Which is odd - most of them show how many liters the container is. Ah well.
Please note that this NOT popular XXL version
XXL does 1.5kg of fries I believe.
1.4kg
Just quick one op, u said u saw this deal .did you end up buying it?
How much horsepower?
could you fit a whole chicken into one of these? mum wants an air fryer and apparently that's part of her criteria lol
Nopes. This is good for those few fries/nuggets. But if you're looking for an airfryer and don't have much counter space, this would be a good option.
thanks for the info! I'll stay on the look out
No for chicken, yes for quail.
Seriously, suitable for chicken pieces too small for a whole chicken. This is a good size if cooking for just two people. For an average family, I would go up in size to a larger Philips XXL. Mind you the cooking time is fairly quick and could possibly use this for a family if you want to cook in batches.
You may want to judge for yourself in person if you can. It can be confusing trying to compare the specs when some declare their sizing in volume and others in weight. I visited JB's the other day when the Good Guys had them on special for the same price. They (JBs) had a large range of brands and sizes of air fryers. I ended up deciding to hold off and go for the Philips XXL and will buy one when the price is about right.
Not sure how this one compares - but this is the almost same size (1.2kg) as the XXL and will fit a whole chicken : https://www.davidjones.com/Product/22994701/FX202D-Ultimate-…
With my (cheap) air fryer, if I put anything more than a single layer, the covered things will not crisp up at all.
Yet in the pictures for this the basket is full to the brim, is this just BS advertising or can you actually stack things and still end up with crispy goodness?
Nope. Our XXL version of this you can fill to the brim and cooks perfectly. But they're $400+
Might give me a reason to upgrade. Anything that's not on top never gets crispy so it limits how much we can really throw in the basket.
Will grab an XXL one day when it goes on a good special.
You will need to find a friend who has Philip airfryers to test them out. My chips are always crispy from top to bottom.
Philips invented the airfryer for the consumer market. They original is still the best!
Same price at amazon au $279
