  • These are brilliant if you are going to be quarantined in a hotel. Useful for both weak WiFi signal and a wired internet.

  • 128MB is plenty for a router running just the essential routing functions.

  • which USB 4G modem works with this ? would have been good to have a complete combo for when travelling. thanks

  • It funny other sites have for approx $270

  • Thanks OP. Was waiting for price to drop. It's a pity Amazon doesn't alert to price drop for items on wishlist instead of having to add to 3 camels?

    • Glad I helped; this is a lightning deal so it was unlikely camels will pick up; happened to be in my wish list as well while I was checking HDD prices:)

  • Would this be good for a 2 bedroom apartment?

    • depending on your use case, how many devices do you have that are actively using internet and would you use any other functions of OpenWRT (sqm, samba, wireguard, etc)

  • I bought this to go on a cruise. That got cancelled due to covid and now this has become a door stopper.

  • Took my 750S to NZ recently when staying with the in-laws, broadcasting the same SSID as home and wireguard VPN back to home to access Aus sites.

Also took it to my parents earlier this year when we had to evacuate due to bushfire.

Mine, wife's and kids devices all just worked without needing wifi settings configured and the Slate didn't have any issues at all

  • It is $82, is there any coupon code?
