I have one of these as an alarm clock. That's all I use the screen for (and I like it) but other than that you're good.

It is an excellent digital photo frame.

It is not bad for watching videos from the cloud, but if you use headphones, you would want a dedicated pair as repairing is a pain.

    • If you have photos uploaded to Google Drive, definitely. It's a stunning digital photo frame, and I find it worth the price of admission just for the stream of my best photos alone.

Uses: Clock, Digital Photoframe, music and video streamer, can control lights etc physically as well as using voice commands. I just upgraded to the Nest Hub Max for the kitchen area and have moved this to the bedroom.

Heard from a mate these are no good. Gave his wife a headache when it was next to her bed

This is pretty much the normal "sale" price these days (if you can even call it a sale price). Waiting for a sub $85 deal… maybe BF2021?!

Kmart have been selling them for $79 this week. Low stock in a lot of places now. Online is no longer available at all.

I believe Kmart is the 1st gen. OP'd referred is 2nd gen.

    • Yep, 1st gen. Quick way to tell from the photo is the black edge around the frame.

  • can the nest hub be used as amotion camera/sensor or is that just the max?

    • It has no camera

      • guess its the max then.. thanks

Got the max last week, looks great. Have it as a photo frame basically

The hub would be pretty decent for use in a kitchen for timer, music and recipe display.

  • Charges me $25.95 for delivery.Need to update title.

  • We bought nest hub max a few weeks ago. Good for general use however it doesn't seem very good for communication. Duo calls, Google meet and zoom meetings volume is too quite even on maximum volume and in most cases I can hear the other person only when I am within a metres of the device. Seems like it's capping the volume for calls. Music and YouTube is plenty loud at max volume. And Zoom freezes after a few seconds.

Anyone else tried duo, Google meet or zoom? Wondering if it's just me.

  • Charcoal/Chalk also $99/$98 at Bunnings.
