Is it a bargain though? You had it for $13 a month ago and even less a month prior to that.

More Alibaba importers….. Import from China Alibaba jack price up 1,000% have a 50% off sale echoing the same cheesy loud obnoxious crap as Hardly Normal and rake in the profits $$$$$

These people aren't entrepreneurs, they haven't traversed the globe to source the highest quality products, they haven't found a empty niche market. These people are just buying shit from Alibaba and operating out of their garage, or mummy and daddies garage

Can you tell me more about the timbre of this cable ? Does it sound warm or rather bright ? I don't like it when my cables sound overly brassy.

    $12.09 delivered here don't forget Cashrewards for 5% cashback = $11.49

    Alibaba: A$3.18 - A$3.39 a piece + delivery
The minimum order quantity is 50 for this seller (there are other sellers with a MOQ of 1, however they are a little more expensive), if you're going to place a order to the amount of the MOQ the price per piece will be on the higher end of the listed price.

The sellers on Alibaba will usually try and overcharge you on postage/shipping, it'll take a few messages back and forth but they'll easily give in and reduce the price of postage because they want your business, you're a person in the western market and the Alibaba sellers are eager to do business with you, they want you to return.

You can use this site to get a rough idea of postage/shipping cost. In the case of OPs HDMI cable is listed as weighting 50 grams. So if you were to order the minimum quantity of 50 that would be 2.5kg, and according to the China Post site air transport for a 3kg parcel via air (7-30 days) is $6.31AUD, however if you wanted to go the cheapest route via ship (20-90 days) it would cost $3.78

A MOQ of 50 from the linked Alibaba seller is $169.50, and postage via air brings to total to $175.81, however if you want to be a tight arse go delivery via ship it'll be $173.28.
Ok now let's calculate ops costs sending to his buyers. The cheapest would be a large letter for $2.20 this is for 125g 260 x 360 x 20mm envelope. Don't forget as op is running a business he can save up to 40%
Ops original price is $16.14, so if op sells 50 cables he makes $807 and he's total investment costs were $283.28 (this is excluding the up to 40% postage savings)

When I used to volunteer at a OP shop l bought 100 pairs of shoelaces from Alibaba for them. I paid about $0.35-0.50? each delivered

AliExpress is owned by the Alibaba group. AliExpress is for direct to consumers, where's Alibaba is for large importers, though many sellers do have a minimum order quantity of only 1.

Thanks. Hopefully it'll help some OzBargainers to wise up a little, and we'll see less SpAmazon overpriced crap

    • Got these cables, pretty bad, screen randomly turning black.

BTW any suggested HDMI cables for 4k@60hz?

Problem is your display card has HDMI 2.0 or not, otherwise at most 30hz

Assuming all your gear supports 2.1 then just buy from a bricks and mortar store - some stuff is just as cheap or cheaper than online. The reason why I recommend in store is cause in this case it's cheaper and if it doesn't work you can get a replacement or if it doesn't perform as stated you can get a refund on the spot. Much better than supporting some Alibaba rip off dude operating outside of mums and dads garage.

Here's a couple of cables, take your pick (guess which ones I recommend):

        Cablelist HDMI 2.1 cable 1m $10

        Cabalelist HDMI 2.1 cable 2m $12

        UNITEK HDMI 2.1 cable 1.5m $11

        [UNITEK HDMI 2.1 cable 2m $12](https://www.msy.com.au/auburn/monitors-accessories/3246-unit…

        Comsol Ultra HDMI 2.1 cable 1.5m $29.88

        G-Tek Ultra Certified HDMI cable 2.1 $59

        Tersely 8K HDMI 2.1 Cable $14.99
I don't recommend the above cable it's overpriced and uncertified, but I included it just incase someone trolls me for supporting retail 🙄……

On a serious note if you've invested in the latest high refresh rate TV i.e. 4k 120hz, or 8k 60hz and you've spent nearly a grand on the latest gaming console, or you've bought a overpriced RTX 3080 gaming rig then you'd want to be getting the full visual and audio quality that these cutting tech provide, so it doesn't make sense to be buying a cable that can't support the high tech visual and audio that your equipment provides, the signal quality really degrades on cheap cables, this is why I always recommend shopping at Harvey Normal and only ever buying Monster Cables, life's short so don't spend limit yourself to mediocre, it's cause you're worth it ;)
One Cable Black Platinum Premium 8K 3m HDMI Cable $199

Hope by including multiple online and multiple retail cables I won't get trolled again, seriously some OzBargainers 🙄…..
