Is having razer synapse really a benefit?

299 motherboard is bargain as well? lol

  • Why are MSI boards the only ones to include screw on antenna to the motherboard and not a separate standing device like others?

  • I am using 550 Taichi, and its a killer board. Build quality is excellent. Also wifi is superb. Haven't tried ethernet yet. A bit disappointed to learn it does not have the infamous TPM 2.0. However it has a socket. Can someone please help about how to source a TPM module for this motherboard?

    • They dont have it on tbr mobo itself? My aorus master b550 has it and all I need was to enable fTPM from the BIOS

Nothing showing on-board for the BIOS (6:04 mark).

      • I read the manual and it says that my MOBO has Support for TPM module and it refers to a socket which is similar to the socket where we attach chassis buttons and hdd led etc.
Also My bios does not have any option to turn it On. Can u please tell me which bios page did u go into?
I felt quite upset because my PC is a powerhouse but I could not install Windows 11.

          https://download.asrock.com/Manual/B550%20Taichi.pdf

          See pages 8,9, and 33.

You need the Asrock 13pin module, which were unfortunately bought out by scalpers right after Windows 11 announcement.

@xuqi: Why can't they just use ftpm in the bios? the newish AMD chips have tpm 2.0 already don't they?

            • @Neon: Thats exactly what I thought. But my Bios has a menu under Advanced Tab>Trusted Computing and it says No Security device found. And I have double checked whole bios menus, it does not have Amd FTPM option anywhere. My board is asrock B550 TAICHI.

Check the user manual 4.4.1 CPU Configuration section for ftpm. You will need to enable this. Thats it to install Windows 11

BIOS -> Advanced -> Last one from the list. AMD fTPM Switch <- enable this

@Dalgona456: Oh that's amazing. The option was hidden in another menu. Thanks so much. I just enabled it and my windows have recognised the TPM switch. Yeyyy. Thanks again

            • @sedi: oh was it? might have been moved to some other place on recent version of BIOS.
anyway good to hear that you can now install Windows11 ;)

      • fTPM is the firware based TPM solution. Think almost software based, as its actually stored in the CPU (I think). You should be able to enable it in the BIOS if it's not already. (Make sure you're on the latest version)
While the TPM headers let you plug in an "addon" card that acts as a hardware TPM. (one of these https://www.asrock.com/mb/spec/card.asp?Model=TPM-S%20Module)

Windows 11 will work with fTPM, and should be find for home, non-enterprise use.
