OZBARGAIN

Not many wines on OzBargain come endorsed by a UK/French Master of Wine but Jane Masters MW described the Bec Hardy SA Sauvignon Blanc as a "star in the Bec Hardy line-up" late last year.

This is unmistakably Sauvignon Blanc - classic aromas and mid-palate weight with a classic citrus, crisp finish from the outstanding 2021 vintage. Drink now to 2023.

Produced by Bec Hardy & Pertaringa Wines. 5* & Top 100 James Halliday producer.

Wines ship within 24-72 hours from our warehouse in McLaren Vale.

    Seems expensive still

Not aiming to be cheap/cheapest, there's no future in that. Prefer offering an outstanding price:quality ratio. I'd say that this delivers on that.

    • Go grab some more goon then

Reckon I tried this at the Winter Cellar Door Fest last weekend, not a bad drop

    • Hi @dav3 - thank coming to the Cellar Door Fest. Bec and I had a blast pouring. Crazy though, poured wine for 15 out of 30 hours across two days! Mad.

The SB we had with us at the show was the Pertaringa 'Scarecrow' Adelaide Sauvignon Blanc 2021 and a more restrained style.

This SB is a little more traditional with lots of herbaceous notes - cut grass, asparagus, gooseberries and the like!

Hope to see you at the Summer Edition of CDF, covid willing, of course!

      Cheers

      Richard

  • Drink now to 2023.

Why doesn’t it keep longer than 2023? What type of wine can keep long?

    • Sauv Blanc as a variety in this style is best enjoyed young. Cheers! RD :-)

      • What style is that you speak of?

In a style made to drink young. Cheers RD :-)
