  • What kind of square metre roof space does this system take up? I've just bought a 2br unit with limited north facing roof area..

    • Hi @themightycheese,

Roof space varies depending on how the roof is set up in regards to splits, aircons, chimneys, stink pipes etc.

The panel dimensions are: 1692mm x 1029mm and there are also minimum clearance requirements from gutter, roof ridge, chimneys, aircons etc.

Please send through your address to us and we can have a look at the roof and advise accordingly. You can either send us private message on OZB, email us on [email protected] or call us on 03 8322 9999.

      Regards,

      Matt

  • I'm interesting in understanding the efficiency of a solar installation on a gable roof that's East West facing

    • +1

      1) Go to solarquotes and shoot off quotes
Or 2) go to pvoutput and look for a system in your postcode or something relatable

    • Hi Itshammer,

Each roof is different, depending on the pitch and direction of the roof the efficiency can vary.

Happy to provide a estimate if you would like to send through your address via a private message.

East/West works quiet well providing peak performance around midday (weather dependant). A great alternative if there is no North roof available. In some cases East/west outperforms North.

Disclaimer: Lots of factors to determine how much a solar system will generate, we provide a detailed proposal based on your specific roof.

      Cheers,

      Matt

    • I’m in the same boat, we’re rural and the house has a complex roofline with solar hot water. So looking at getting a system up on the shed which has a large ~10 degree pitch east/west roof. I guess the panels will be mounted on a pitched frame facing north.

This sounds like a decent deal and support looks good.

  • why dont they have this kind of pricing in perth?

    • Because Solar Victoria doesn't give rebates to Perth residents?
