"Sorry, this colour / size combination is not currently available.", looks like it's gone.

  • It's showing lots of stock in store, but it just won't let you add it to cart.

  • +1

    It's showing $1999 again….

  • +2

bought it 2 weeks ago at Retravision, $998 and -5% RAC WA members discount.
These days with covid tax anything under $1k for this machine is a bargain and they go OOS quick…

  • It’s all about that “dual” otherwise you’ll both fight while making coffee

  • Is this worth it or should I go with the bambino + and the smart grinder (for both spend comes under $600).

Edit- the bes920 is now back at $1999, way out of my budget.

    • Refurbished bes920 go for 500-600. If you Google for reviews you can get decent new grinders for 400-600. If going the refurbished bes920 you might end up doing a little maintenance every 18months but it'll be a learning curve while you save for an upgrade

      • Where can you find them refurbished online?

    • Where do you get the smart grinder and Bambino + from? Best deal I can get for both is 610

    • +4

Get the best grinder you can afford. Go manual if you have to.

As a rule, you'll get much better shots out of a cheap machine and expensive grinder than you will out of an expensive machine and cheap grinder.

  • Damn missed it

    • I think everyone missed it.

  • I bought a bes920 from good guys for $950 last week

    • You mind sharing the receipt so maybe I can try for price match? Thanks

    • From which state? Is it still in stock in the showroom or you called and order it directly?

  • I see the refurb ones on eBay for low $800s. I wonder if that would be a poor decision.

    • I bought mine refurbished. Came with a brand new smart coffee grinder. Put in an offer for $1000 for the both; machine was more 'used' than refurbished. I notified the seller and further negotiated a price for $850 for the two. I'm happy with that - machine is awesome and makes a great coffee. Just came back from holiday and all coffee I drank away was crap in comparison to my home setup - made me realise I have been spending way too much money on shit coffee.

Happy to provide the Melbourne based seller from eBay and some more details via PM if required. Feel free to message me.

      • is it the bid madness? I bought and returned - shot counter was more than 3k. lol@refurb

        • That's the one! How did you check that?

          • @goldiep: With the machine in standby, press and hold 1 cup and 2 cup buttons for 4 seconds then press the Power button (whilst still holding the 1 and 2 cup buttons).

When the machine powers on, press the Menu button to bring up the shot counter. Multiply the displayed value by 10 for the number of shots.

          • @goldiep: Are we going to get an update on yours?

        • I pull a empty shot to heat my group head, then I pull the espresso shot, then follow it with a empty shot + wipe to clean off the group head. So that's 3 on the counter to pull one shot. I make 2-3 a day, that equates to 6-9/day on the counter, easy 2000/year… 3000 isn't bad

          • @OzBargaincreeper: except not a lot of people pull 2-3 shots per day everyday. The machine was 2014 manufactured with some issues. My point was there is a diff between refurbished (usually returned, display as mentioned by the ad on eBay) and used. And the machine you get is the latter

  • Is this better than barista touch?

  • Why was it $999 in dj just few days ago and now $2000

  • +1

So I had the machine sitting in my online shopping cart yesterday. By the time I got round to completing the order, it said the offer was no longer available. I wasn't going to let it go. After much ringing around to stores I found out the offer is still available until tonight but the online store is out of stock which is why it is now showing as $2k and can't be added to cart. However the store had stock, they did the same deal, took my credit card payment over the phone an are sending it out to me. If you are like me and aren't going to miss out, ring a store and they can check which stores have stock showing to send it to you. Free delivery too. Now I just need to wait for a good deal on a great grinder and I will be in coffee bliss. I don't know any of the prosumer grinder brands so I will be looking out on OzBargain for recommendations.

Eureka Mignon specialita or silenzio are very good prosumer ones that will cost you <$1000. Quiet and very appropriate for the home coffee enthusiast.

    • You had bteer luck , to me they said they cant ship and system cant let them order and i have to be there
