Bosch 14.4v Cordless Drill / Driver $75 at The NEW Masters Warehouse Safety Bay WA

50

Bosch PSR 14.4V Cordless Drill Driver for $75 at the all new Masters Warehouse in Safety Bay WA. Now, I don't really care for the drill as I already have DeWalt LiIon. This Bosch does seem to sell at double the price everywhere else!

But, I love the fact that the big green shed is finally getting some competition!

For those that don't know, Masters Warehouse is rolling out hundreds of stores Australia Wide, and is probably the most exciting thing in retail for 2012.

I went to a Masters store to buy our washing machine, whilst I was waiting for them to get it off the shelf I was approached by at least 10 staff asking if I needed help.

The sales person even photocopied my receipt for warranty as the normal ones fade.

I believe their business model is to provide items at the same price as bunnings, have nicer looking / cleaner stores, and better customer service.

I've seen staff at the local bunnings see someone coming and quickly turn down the next isle - hahaha :)

    I guess time will tell.

    Cool story bro :)

i thought the Bunnings staff just hated me,
now i know they avoid other people too :)

This is good! Bunnings is a bit overpriced IMHO
They have sales on random things, but for basics like PVC piping it can be ridiculous.
I hope Masters puts some competition up!

I do agree with you. It's a good start. More competitions, more benefits for us. Like Coles and Woolworths.

  • not sure if this is a bargain. Bunnings has it at the same price on there website

  • nice…..but too bad its in safety bay

  • It's not bad, but keep in mind that this one does not have a lithium battery (unless I'm mistaken). It's NiCD. Especially if you tend to use it only once in a while, your battery will be continuously flat, and you end up having to throw it after a few years because it won't charge anymore.

    • I bought one 14 years ago, model PSR 14,4 VES2. The battery is NiCAD; but once charge it would keep the charge for a long time (months) if you didn't use a lot. I didn't use it very often but last year I used it to instal a big IKEA kitchen and it still worked very well, and was perfectly adequate for the job.

  • Went there Sunday - CLOSED are these guys for real?

Good deal though, I had one of the old 12v models and that lasted me around 6-7 years before the old ni cads were dead.

Isn't it normal for Perth shops to be closed on a sunday??

    • They have just opened up for the first time ever on Monday 13th.

  • It's located in BALDIVIS (straight off freeway exit), on Safety Bay Road (i.e. it's not in Safety Bay).

  • If they don't open Sundays they can't compete with Bunnings simple as that and I wish they were a Bunnings killer believe me :)

  • Masters can't open on Sunday as they sell appliances etc. Because of WA's stupid trade laws they can't open on Sunday unless they are in one of the special trade zones. But I think they are expecting these laws will change soon, as both political parties finally have similar views on Sunday trade. So hopefully won't be an issue when the other stores open.

Also you should be able to get it 10% cheaper at Bunnings using there price Guarantee (http://www.bunnings.com.au/default_price-guarantee.aspx)
