multiple reviews saying it's actually 720p

    • Yeah I was about to post this too, looks like a bait n switch

  • Note that the native resolution is 720P. Still decent for the price though.

I want to get one just to see for myself how good or bad these are.

Reviews just don’t cut it. Especially with projectors.

    • For a very similar price (when it was on special), I'm actually very happy with the QKK one.

Obviously not a high end projector, but it does the job well for a little thing with a little, but not much fan noise. And you don't have to worry about projector bulbs exploding on you.

    • An anti-light projection screen can greatly improve the brightness if you find brightness to be an issue

      • It's actually a high gain screen that improves brightness not an Ambient Light Rejecting screen, and I doubt anyone buying a $66 projector is going to spring for a specialised screen that will cost at least a thousand….

        • I was referring to something similar to this
Sure, its not a high gain screen but I can definitely see an improvement. ~$60

  • This is a very good price for a projector + screen included.

  • Would probably buy just for the screen

    • I'll take the projector if you don't want it.
      Thanks in advance.

    • You can get one for around $20 on its own.

  • Any links for a modest portable screen?

    • +1

      There is one included.

      • Thank you, but I'm just after a screen after reading the description, ad & reviews.

I bought one during prime day sales and I’m returning it because no matter how I adjust the position and settings, it is impossible to get an image without significant blur.

    PROS
    * Brightness is good enough in a dark room which is fair for the price
    * Built in speaker is tinny but acceptable
    * Projector not too noisy when running.
    * Inputs work

    CONS
    * It is natively 720P NOT 1080P
    * Image is far too blurry (could be a fault with many but not all units)

If you have low expectations, it could be worth a shot. Just make sure you have the time to go through the returns process if you’re disappointed!

    • +4

Its misleading when they say it supports 1080p as thats what the operating system can handle NOT what the projector can output.

      • Totally, but I would have kept it despite that if only the image could be focused properly and without looking blurry.

I mainly wanted it for the kids to be able to watch movies in the evenings when we go camping.

    • Inputs work

      hahahahahahaha

      • Well, yeah, some reviewers on Amazon mentioned problems, so I checked.

I’m still not convinced they’ll keep working for long.

Can you plug an Android TV box into one of these?

    • +3

you can plug anything you like via HDMI, VGA, AV, USB & TF.

I’ve bought this and it’s junk at best a toy.
The big issue is the entire image can not be focused. You might get a portion of the screen in focus but the other half remains out of focus.

Next big issue is it’s a roaring fan, it’s very loud.

The projector screen is horrible, it’s better to project directly onto a wall.

    Brightness is dull.

You can’t expect much for this price but the frustrations this projector will bring is not worth it IMO.

    • 66 bucks I thought it would not even turn on lol.

    • did u have to pay for return shipping?

    • +1

If you set it up right you can get a nice sharp picture. Not much image adjustment so you have to physically move the projector. I have one and think its great for the money, sure its not perfect but if you want that then spend 20x more and be happy.

      • For less than 4x the Blitzwolf VP6 is a good inbetweener.

      • Unfortunately the lenses on the unit I received were out of alignment so, no matter where I moved it or how I adjusted the settings, it was impossible to get the whole image in focus.

I suspect quality assurance is almost nonexistent on these, and it may have been fixable if I had the time to open it up, but I returned it for free by contacting Amazon after trying to troubleshoot with the seller.

I’ll definitely try another cheap projector at some point because I reckon it’s luck of the draw with these unbranded units.

  • anyone received it?
my parcel was lost in transit :/
