You can join them to a speaker group and play stuff across them. And play things individually.
I had some trouble in the past, but this one just worked for me. 'Hey google, play metallica on spotify on downstairs group”.
Exactly the answer I was looking for thanks. Might put one in the garage to finally replace a small radio.
You can ask them to play any major Australian radio station. Just say, “Hey Google, play ABC classic FM”, or “Hey Google, play Triple J”. Works instantly. I have 4 Google smart speakers in my speaker group. One in kitchen, 2 in living room, one in office. I’ve grouped them so that they all play at the same time. The volume of each speaker can be controlled independently. You can also ask Google just to play on just one of the speakers if you want. That said, I would not buy the Nest Mini when it’s not too much extra to get the Nest Audio, which has decent sound quality. It’s the sound quality that attracted me to the Google Max and Nest Audio, not so much the smart functionality.
How do people find these to play radio stations from, can you get them to sync up between them + play individual stations across them?
