Coles: 1.5% Cashback @ ShopBack

380

Was shopping online at Coles, when my ShopBack extension popped up with a 1.5% cashback rate! Not sure if this is new, but as far as I can recall there hasn't been cashback for Coles for quite a while.

Anyways, it's not much, but it's something!
Also, does this classify as a deal? 😉

I never use coles online as it doesn't allow payment by e-gift card, that's at least 3% off

Lol. Coles is way behind. I have accounts almost everywhere Except Coles. Same reason as yours.

    • It seems you can now pay using your flybuys points.

      • +2

Yes. You just need to sign up for flypay, link your flybuys to it and check out with flypay

      • I tried this out last week, not sure if I was doing something wrong but it was limited to $50 redemption on a shop. I had $200+ in basket and the most flybuys I could pay with was 10,000, the balance by credit card as normal.

        • Can you pay with flybuys dollar instead of points?

@[Deactivated]: I couldn't see any options to, I have plenty of $$ in there too

@cook99: Ok. Looks like payment with points only.

  • Do note that Shopback's "Super Swap Gift Card" has 2% cashback, and Coles is one of the shop you can swap for.

    • You can't use Coles gift cards for Coles Online though, right?
Edit: Looks like that's a no, there's no option at checkout.

  • Yeah this is definitely new, saw it just yesterday. Too bad I didn't hold off a little longer on my 1L Absolut purchase…

Also, does this classify as a deal?

    Sure does.

Yes, onboarding of Coles was a big announcement made by Shopback this week. Cashrewards also announced their tie-up with ANZ. I haven't checked details about the benefits to ANZ customers.

    • -1

Wow I didn't know that ANZ holds 19% of cash rewards shares
Perhaps that explains why CR's bonus promotions in recent months are less attractive than shopback

    • which reminds me i have an ANZ txn acc.

truly wonder what is the benefit

Coles gift cards 3% discounted with Suncorp. This deal is useful when there are bonus offers with ShopBack, otherwise I think there is little reason to get excited about this.

1.5% omg! Thanks for sharing the info though.

coles has much better deals like 10000 points for x amount spend per week, which Woolies does not have.

    • Totally agree. The best Woolies offer I've had is 20 points/per dollar spend, which I don't even bother

    • +2

Disagree, I've just got 3100pts bonus for $50 spend and 1900 pts bonus for $0.01 spend from Woolworths recently.

    • +3

I get much better bonus points offers from Coles than Woolies and end up shopping there. I would rather shop at Woolies as have heaps of GC's from when they were still 5% off.

      • i also have "pesky" supermarket 5% off gc's - my lesson learnt don't buy more than one (100-500) - or wait for 10%
