Most cards that I could buy through SB were already 2% off or greater, where's the deal here?

    • -5

      Coles you cannot

      • True, but suncorp has coles for 3% off so never really bought from SB anyway

        • +1

Trust me it seems to be going to be useful during those bonus cashback offers on SHOPBACK superstore.

And my guess if SHOPBACK is going to announce a stupid bonus deal for this like spend 50 get 2 back or something, making people to buy Coles GC at >2% (just my feelings)

          • +2

            @USER DC: So not a deal… yet.

          • +1

@USER DC: Maybe it designed for people who don't shop highest % and just base crap on feelings .
I wonder were they are lol :)

          • +1

@USER DC: Agreed. This would be very useful on a bonus deal.

  • +2

unless some bonus deal on offer,i don't see people will buy this as most of the are on much higher rate

    • Bunnings is 2 % vs 1.5 % standard

      • Woohoo 0.5%.

        Please contain my excitement.

    • Amazon.

Unless I want to put my super/healthcare somewhere crap.

      • Suncorp offers 3%. free to open a bank account, just keep a few dollars there will be fine

  • Does anyone know if these cards have tax invoice issued after purchase? I was buying cards for my employees EOFY bonuses and my account has been flagged as suspicious despite being a long term Prezzee customer (practically since it went mainstream), the credit card being under my name and billing address being same. Overseas call centre Customer service was incredibly unhelpful and actually pretty damn rude.

    • +1

At least User not by himself chasing the crap % .

    • There’s no GST on gift cards if it matters.

      • Not after a claim. Just keeping records of money in/ money out.

      • +1

@westical I think he is after claiming Business Expense rather GST.

@Jimothy Wongingtons If you are buying in bulk, you shall approach company to offer corporate discount and issue invoice to claim expense. I don't see any benefit of Preeze as I never saw any discount offered from thm.

Can always get higher % from somewhere else
    2% is a joke

    • Where can you score a Bunnings GC more than 1.5 % ?? without any paid membership ??

      Looking at https://www.ozbargain.com.au/wiki/discounted_egift_cards

Shows 2% off Bunnings via Reedem Your Gift Card only (which requires some promo code, and who knows what that is)

      • +2

There are two promo codes for Redeem Your Gift Card that I’m aware of:

        • egiftcards - this promo code only sometimes works
        • shopper

These codes are actually listed on the discounted eGift card page you linked to.

        ——

Also, you can get a Bunnings gift card for more than 1.5% off if you use a discounted Coles gift card to purchase a Bunnings gift card in-store at Coles.

        • -2

if i am not mistaken, coles doesn't allow to pay for giftcards via their giftcards so second point not valid?

          • @Natsu9: It can be done.

            • -1

@Yola: not sure if you mean coles mastercard but as for coles giftcards they don't allow it? Even states in their Terms for giftcard

              https://www.coles.com.au/customer-care/gift-cards

To quote "Coles Gift Cards are not redeemable on Coles Online or at Coles Express or Liquorland. Not redeemable for cash or payments of credit or store accounts. Gift Cards cannot be used to purchase Gift Cards. This card will expire 4 years from the date of issue. Treat this card like cash. Lost or stolen cards will not be replaced or refunded."

              • @Natsu9: Yes it's stated there, but practically, you can, with some techniques needed

      • I am able to get Bunnings @3% off at least, but I am not keen to share with someone who likes to argue every single word against others' comment
All stores in bold, I am able to get a higher discount in some way open to public

Shopback refused to refund gift cards for me. It failed to swap over a weekend and I missed the deal. After a month long delay they said there were no problems at the time. They don’t have support over the weekend either. So just be careful if you’re buying large amount of gift cards on a time/stock sensitive deals.

    • -4

      Thanks for your experience shacting

I can understand the frustration had same issue with true rewards a few months ago, with their choice card not having Kogan at the time of purchase, they refused to refund that time as well. I was so pissed.

But at least it's SHOPBACK selling itself unlike cashrewards selling true rewards cards

Would recommend everyone to see availablity by their lower amount GC purchase first, or contacting rep/ support before buying something big

      • +6

Why do you sound like you're associated?

        • +2

Wow! I am surprised Shopback hasn't already hired OP by now. ;-)

          • -1

@DoctorCalculon: Wow!! I'd love to but idk if my current circumstances and their store policies would even allow me to be hired.

        • -1

I think rep can confirm that I am not an associate if you have any doubt (of not believing me)
I just shared my personal opinion, that me having made that mistake on Kogan GC from choice GC via cashrewards was not honoured at time of purchase, I was super pissed and anyone in my position would have been pissed as well.
But gladly TA had been very helpful that time to me. Proposed me a very good solution for this.

Hope that if enough for you guys to clear your mind that I am not associated with SB in anyway.

  • you can get 2% off bunnings and others if you buy a $50 card at your post office or coles etc with a hsbc debit card

    • in that case why not use HSBC card to get 2% of the 2% cashbacked Super swap card

      • its a tap and go in person card

        • oh nevermind then.

  • Asking a silly question. I tried to swap SB Super gift Card to Coles gift card. After selecting the value I can't see the swap now button anywhere. What did I do wrong?

  • Has anyone had problems with swapping these? It comes up with an error so I am unable to use them at all.
