OCZ Agility 3 is current gen SSD while the Vertex 2 is last gen (Vertex 3 replaced it). If I remember correctly also, the newer Vertex 2 use 25nm flash, which cause them to be slower than their advertised speeds.
I don't think this is a great deal, for a little more ($169) you can get the Agility 3 from centrecom.
Can you link us ? Thanks
The OCZ Agility 3 Series "seems" trouble less.
don't buy this. I have had two vertex 2's and both of them died within 6 months. The IT seller confirmed it was a known issue with them and he had plenty of them returned for replacement. The 3 is not supposed to have these issues but to be safe I switched to dual corsars instead.
The link above is for Vertex plus. OP might want to change the title
As for Agility 3:

Shipping is alot more with shopping express Australia Post eParcel - $16.73
PCCG $ 12
Centrecom $9
Depends on your postcode? $7.65 for sydney
Vertex 2 is a good drive, I've got a 60GB one and its great and had no issues after 5000 or so hours of power on.
But i'd say if you're patient you can get a better deal, I just bought the Crucial M4 128GB for $153 shipped from amazon a few days ago. The Crucial has about 120GB of space after formatting while the Vertex has about 111GB. Keep that in mind if you're going to put this in something like a laptop
That is NOT a OCZ Vertex 2.
It is a OCZ Vertex Plus+, which is significantly worse.
Agreed.
Just saw this on Amazon US Gold Box daily deal.
Seems OK to me…

yeah but the Agility 3 model is the current model with heaps of speed improvements and - here's the kicker - it doesn't randomly die like previous models.
Amazon won't ship this drive to Australia
