Logo reminds me of Jila Mints

Jila Mints, your sugar free steampunk mint of choice.

  • Thanks but May I know once again where to find this news as I am again struggling to find this in Epic.

dealbot found this on mydealz, he just didn't give credit here.

      • They posted at the same time…

        • He credited mydealz here.

dealbot is just quick to post (prob has drafts ready, all he needs is the game name).

        • dealbot has informed me that he already knew what the game would be well in advance.

    • +1

I believe he'd have some kind of scraper for the Epic Store website or game database, and is finding new/modified listings in advance of their posting on the "free games" page.

Or he has an inside informant, but then he'd be even less likely to tell you that's how 😉

Was free last year on Twitch, so you may already have it there.

    • Ahh, that's why it sounded familiar. Yep, I do have it on twitch and amazingly, I have even played it a bit. And yep, OPs description is quite accurate. Definitely reminded me of puzzlequest from before.

why are these posts always so early for no reason

    • +9

It's good to know earlier, isn't it?

Why does someone like you always complain about this every single week?

      • +4

cause by the time it comes out i forget. and if i check epic anyways then this is useless,

they have regular deals at set times, and this isnt even 1 or 3 days in advance, so it feels like getting spammed.

        • +9

Set a reminder on here and on your phone. And just epic games store once a week or so and you'll be fine.

          • +1

@baldur: im not worried about missing out, just doesnt make sense why its so early, its not like its limited quantity either

        • +2

These tend to come up on the front page of OZB on the date when it is available (due partially to high number of + votes).

          • +2

@netsurfer: Only temporarily though as a highlighted deal.

    • +2

Coming out a week early works out well for me as it reminds me to buy this week’s current free game.
If you have already claim the current free game than you can just ignore

      • +1

Exactly the same for me :)
Thanks dealbot, I feel cringy saying this but ignore the haters, the majority appreciate the early post for this above reason.

Why are all the free games always so shit?

    • +1

You're trusting a metacritic rating based on only 6 reviews? I've got Ironcast on Steam and I enjoyed it a lot, although it does get a little repetitive later on in the game.

    • +1

      Choosing beggar right here

      • Yeah I thought the games were pretty underwhelming this week but had enough sense to not complain about free games…

    • All the free games shit?

Wow. OK, so you haven't been keeping up then I'm guessing.

I'm currently playing through the recently free Control, and that's a bloody brilliant game.

So many awesome games have been given away free by Epic, you have obviously not been paying attention.

Bridge constructor is showing as $14.50 for me.

    • +1

use the epic games link not the steam link

  • +2

Thanks. Direct link didn't take me there, so for those with the same problem :
    Bridge constructor
    Ironcast

  • Hope the walking dead version is better then portal version, was frustrating that the physics wasnt 100%, aka each run had slightly different result.

Later half of the game felt like bad rats, I was change 1 thing slightly at the end of a stage, yet get a different result at the start.

  • Cheers!
