The condition of the battery is the main question

  • +1

Very true, do you think it's a gen battery? Or would they put in an after market one etc.

    Anyway, just an fyi

  • +24

Gonna mark this as a neg.

ABN comes up as a trust, but Business Name doesn't return an exact match.

    Caveat emptor.

    • +11

Caveat emptor means "Buyer Beware" in Latin for those that don't know. In Vino Veritas..!

      • Thanks mate for the kind words!

    • +2

      Hey mate,

The stock is real, sold plenty of the Lockwood T-Locks in the past all buyers have received their goods usually 1-2 days after.

      • +2

Ok no worries. Update your site to display correct information per ABR Gov and I'll retract my neg - thanks.

        • +1

Thanks, I'm happy with it all now. See comment here for more details.

      • what is the battery health looks like?

        • +2

          90% +/- some i recall were 95%

These have all been wiped and fully diagnostic tested using software we pay a license for each unit to be tested.

    • +10

Okay folks, the site has been updated, and I'm comfy with the info presented on there. Kudos to the site owner for being prompt and positive to feedback that will only help their business.

My neg has been revoked as a consequence of the site being updated.

      Thanks all.

Pretty cost effective 7/11 chopper, it wouldn't take long to recover $85.

Does anyone have one of these oldies? How does Pokémon go play on it?

    • For an optimal Pokémon GO experience, we recommend using phones with 2GB or more of RAM. If your device is experiencing issues such as frequent crashing or lagging while playing Pokémon GO, we recommend the following troubleshooting steps:

    • +1

I use an old iPhone SE as a secondary device for my other Pokemon GO Account. Battery life is basically non-existent due to age (solved with a Power Bank) and performance isn't that smooth (the random crashes here and there).

PS: iPhone SE is the cheapest iOS device that is still compatible with Pokemon GO.

      • Thanks for confirming!

      • Thanks that's what I needed to know, only need it for 2nd account which lives at home with an gotcha attached or in my pocket on community day, so I don't want a large ass phone.

    • +3

I still use an iPhone SE. Still gets software updates, never had any performance issues at all. I don't tend to play games though. I can't imagine it having much issue with Pokemon go.

Main issue to look for with these models is the battery perfomance. Mine is still at 87% capacity, but some needed replacement under warranty due to battery issues.

  • Not sure about this one, but my Iphone 5s doesn't load up Pogo anymore.

    Below is from Pogo:

To play, phones must have the Pokémon GO app installed. Phone requirements are listed below.

    iOS:

    iPhone 6s or above
    iOS 12 or above
    Strong internet connection (Wi-Fi, 3G, or 4G)
    GPS and Location Services
    Jailbroken devices are not supported
    Android:

    Android 6 or above
Preferred resolution of 720×1280 pixels (not optimized for tablet)
    Strong internet connection (Wi-Fi, 3G, or 4G)
    GPS and Location Services
    Rooted devices are not supported

    • +1

iPhone SE is the same specs as the 6S, so presumably it works then. Both an A9 with 2gb RAM.

      • +1

Can confirm the iPhone SE is compatible with Pokemon Go.

      • +1

        Yep, it's pretty much a 6S in the body of a 5S.

        • The SE has no 3D touch, and gimped cellular chip, these are pretty substantial differences from a 6S.

Being in a smaller body it also has the expected smaller low res. screen and a smaller battery too.

  • I just paid $170 for a refurbished iPhone 7 so it would be a good offer and price if I could trust the seller but too much of a risk

    • +1

      Hi,

      Same seller as these: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/619865

Ask anybody if they didnt get their item you wont hear one that didnt

    • +1

Out of interest, what exactly is "risky" about the seller?

      • -1

They don't guarantee the phone will work 7 days after you receive it.

        • +2

Description in the OP (copied from the product page) says 3 month warranty. I think that's pretty reasonable given it's a used phone that isn't in flawless condition

  • +2

    I had one of these.

Good points: small, makes you not always be on your phone (see below), like the look of it, works with apple pay and still getting updates.

Bad points: Slow, poor screen, websites barely fit, the battery doesn't last too long.

Better than an Apple watch. Handy if you don't really use your phone much but, want something reliable when you need it.

  • +1

I'm using a 6S with 79% battery…. would love to renew the battery but hard to justify spending money on an old 6S…

  • +1

I've had a couple of SE's….current one is a more recent version but still a couple of years old.It was clever marketing from Apple as surveys determined that most men want a phone that fits comfortable in a jeans pocket and doesn't stick out like a TV set like the ones women prefer (plus pose value).I've never had an issue with the SE and would buy another tomorrow. This sounds like a good deal btw…

  • +1

i already have 3 SEs, would definitely add another. they're that good.

  • +1

I’m assuming this is the 2016 model - does it use lightening cable?

    • yes

  • +1

3 months warranty from them. 6 if using Paypal.

  • +1

    Hi OP,

Can you do a "reset all settings" with these iPhone SE? Or can you guarantee this? I'm just worried about the phone being a problem and compromising my network. Getting malware and hacked is not fun….

    • +1

We have reset to factory and wiped them using a software accredited by US gov.
No MDM locks, no icloud and no network locks otherwise we will exchange immediately

  • Do these have wireless charging?

    • +1

      no

  • +1

$85 for a backup iPhone with a warranty? … Sold

  • Good deal $74.99 + $6.82 GST.

Legally you need to put + GST in description or include the $6.82 in the price:
    https://www.accc.gov.au/media-release/accc-warns-service-sec…

    • +2

the $74.99 already includes the 6.82 GST. it could have been shown more clearly on the payment page.

as you can see, the total only comes to $84.94, otherwise i would've paid $91.76

      • +2

You're right. Sorry, please ignore my comment…

  • +1

    Purchased, thanks OP.

  • +1

    White is now OOS.

  • +1

Mine arrived today, few small marks and some light scratches on the screen but nothing major, and 93% battery health. Battery health was better than I expected honestly for a device that came out 5ish years ago. Pretty good buy, cheers OP :)

  • +1

Got mine today, 50/50 success for me.

Bought 2 for parents as backup phones, white one is in good condition and 96% battery, so very happy with it.
Also got a grey one, which is not so good.
Screen is pretty scratched up, but still useable. Battery though is 83%, which is basically at replacement stage.

Store rep mentioned batteries were around the 90% mark, so i'll try my luck with a refund.

Admittedly its only 80 bucks, but I wouldn't have bought one without the claim of a decent battery.

    • +1

Mine also had scratches but after putting on a tempered glass (overkill) but it makes a big differences in the scratches you can see. Mine had 95% battery for reference

  • +1

Ordered a space grey on Tuesday and arrived today (Friday) so pretty fast delivery. The phone was much better than expected, minimal scratches and battery health was actually showing 100%. Happy with it as a spare $80 phone.

  • +1

finally arrived in Perth today, delivered by fastway/aramex. the phone i got had 94% battery and was nearly flawless except for a couple of stains on the sides, and a piece of tissue stuck to it. nbd, it's going to get a wipe-down anyway.

i hope they do more deals on used phones

  • Won’t be buying from these guys again. Tried to get an exchange due to my battery being 83%. ( basically at replacement stage and will double the cost). But they’ve replied it’s used and not covered by their TandC’s etc.

No problem , I get it’s 2nd hand and I wouldnt normally buy a phone without knowing the battery quality. Except they made the claim in this thread that batteries were around 90%, some at 95%.

Only $80 wasted but I’ll try fair trading as I don’t like being told one thing before buying something , and another after buying it.
