    are these better than the beats by dre earphones or is all just marketing hype. I want earphones that sound good listening on an ipod or connected my samsung galaxy ace smartphone with good bass and can reduce outside noise. microphone would be nice as well.

      The CC51P I have are much better than the iBeats that came with my phone. Not sure about the M Series of MeElec Earphones though.

      CC51P are canalphones. They are dynamic drivers (most headphones are balanced armature). CC51P and A151 are the two high end models by meelec.

      I have a brand new set right here if anyone wants them. Unused because I upgraded to Unique Melody Miracles.

      CC51P:
      + Good sound, mic button makes track changes easy when jogging
      - mic housing is a weak spot so they must be treated well

      $55 including postage. (Would be $97 if bought online from meelec, and direct from them or amazon is usually the cheapest price).

    Just a little tentative about the shipping - all the tracked options cost a fortune with a few things in the cart and USPS are keeping people's mail for a long time these days. Probably still grab something though.

    I have bought a few of the MEE earphones for myself and for colleagues. Crazy good value - particularly when they have these kind of deals.
