Do you need to pay with afterpay? or is it just the code that is required for the discount?

Probably a partnership. You can choose to pay it all off upfront i think anyway so no harm no foul.
Driving up the share price
Probably to beat Amazon and stay in check. If its always amazon who gives out best prices, other businesses will not stay relevant in the market. It also helps afterpay. I wouldnt be surprised if Amazon starts its own BNPL service.
However whenever I get the chance NOT to use afterpay, I do not. Afterpay takes a huge cut of profit from Ebay and I feel ebay deserves to get that money (at least to survive and compete with amazon and keep amazon in check). I dont even use paypal on ebay - directly debit card.
Paypal has a free returns policy, for a set amount of items, up to a certain value in postage per item. You have to activate it on your account though.
I do have it activated, but for most items I buy, I probably wont need it as seller will just ship a new one for free. For expensive items/sketchy sellers, its probably paypal. But then again many seller pay for return shipping if shit goes wrong.
i wonder if i should use my old 2700 and b550M for mining. dont think ill get anything for 2700 on the market.
Really tempted to get this after the Shallothead deal ended up giving me a faulty 5600x that caused 32 crashes in 1 day for my PC. (My guess is an early batch 5600X which were known to have some issues)
