What do people vacuum seal? It seems like a waste of plastic for everyday items
Well, obvious use in this case is with the sous vide. Also buy bulk meat and vacuum seal rather than freeze or just freeze for longer. I have used mine in the past to divy out big catches of mackeral and tuna among friends, family and workmates, less risk of fish juice going everywhere.

Bought the sous vide yesterday and tested it today doing soft boiled eggs. Less than 20mins, it made a loud noise and the water is no longer circulating. Went straight back to local store and get another one. The new one is working fine so far. The faulty is going back to store tomorrow.
