“The tablet I just bought was amazing. If you have any doubts about this tablet, don’t doubt it!!! I love it! The touch screen is definitely a plus. This is so cool and it’s much better than any other iPad.” – Sally, Tamworth, NSW

    Enough said..

      – Sally, Tamworth, NSW

Hey, it probably runs her country music & line-dancing apps fine! :p

If you have any doubts about this tablet, don’t doubt it!!!

Don't doubt my doubts? I doubt if I can do that. Arrgh!

      • +1

        Seems legit.

Well, if Sally from Tamworth says and $89 Android 2.3 tablet is 'better than any other iPad'… it must be true.

Buyer Beware… pay $300 - $400 and get a 10 inch Xoom or Transformer that runs smoothly and is upgradeable to Android 4.

"This is so cool and it’s much better than any other iPad." ha ha rubbish ads. Big liar

    • Haha the touch screen is definitely a plus? Yeah I guess it makes it slightly better value than the tablets that don't have them :/

  • Are these the ones that go pop after a week?

    Resistive touch screen! ARGH!

"Navigating around this touch screen tablet couldn’t be easier and the 7-inch resistive touch screen is highly responsive!"

Resistive and highly responsive cannot be used in the same sentence.

    • +4

how about 'resistive touch screens are resistive to being highly responsive'?

      • +1

he already beat you to it in his sentence

        • +1

          must resist… making a respon(iv)e :p

    • There are some pretty decent resistive touch screens out there, e.g. my original Optus MyTab (ZTE V9) is pretty good.

Buying a tablet with no reviews means you're taking a punt, though, and more resistive touch screens are bad than good.

    • have you used a ZTE9 (Optus mytab) ? The resistive screen is fine on those.

  • +1

1ghz cpu. Faster than the Optus and Telstra units.

    also… no BT

and its 3g usb which means its a dongle that fits in the bottom?

  • I have never seen so many useless adjectives to describe a product.

    • Have not heard of Aliexpress before, have you experience with them?

      • I have some experience, they're good for those chinese made items, cheap accessories and the like. Some good mp4 players for about $30. Good idea to be wary though, as you deal directly with the suppliers, and you could get scammed (the escrow service they use normally prevents you losing anything though)

      • Aliexpress is the eBay-ish side of Alibaba. They're legit although some of the sellers on there aren't.

It's about as safe to buy from an Aliexpress seller as it is to buy from a HK/China seller on eBay.

  • It is a fairly bad tablet, mostly due to its resistive screen, but can anyone suggest a better tablet at this pricepoint? If not, it has to be a + from me.

Edit: oh that reply right above me links to what appears to be a very similar tablet at a cheaper price. I retract my comment.

    • That appears to be a worse tablet for more money.

  • Not a bargain. This is the rrp for such tablets.

  • +1

    doesn't have inbuilt 3g

  • There is absolutely no way that a tablet with a resistive screen is in any way a bargain in this day and age.

    • It's a pretty big "Gotcha" . Resistive versus capacitive is like car with wheels vs car with no wheels .
If it was $10 it would still be more of a pain than what it's worth . There's cheap and then there's resistive screens , Don't confuse them .

  • Wow, so quickly the tide turns. People were creaming themselves over the Optus Tab and its resistive screen not that long ago.

The reason this is a crap deal isn't the screen - it's the lack of GPS and inbuilt 3G.

In fairness, the MyTab thing began almost a year ago: http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/43015

Not only are they still a very usable tablet, but I put CM7 on one for a mate the other day & it rocks!

      • +1

Agreed, I pulled mine out of the cupboard the other day and it's a great piece of kit
