  • gee, lots of companies are more competitive than tpg nowadays. exetel and now mynetfone. i'm currently stuck on tpg naked 50gb @ $49.95/month.

I would not recommend this telco at all. What they don't tell you unless you read the full T&C is that you have to pay the months fee upfront or your service is automatically shut off, and keep a minimum of $20 in credit on your account. Very shady practices I've found, thankfully I got out of my contract by contacting the TIO

    • pay in advance? i thought that was normal? tpg is the same

      • yes it is normal.

        • The min $20 in your account is quite strange.

    • I think it's reasonable, however they should mention the minimum cost for the contract. If there's no other hidden charges it'll work out to be $499.50 on their economy plan.

      and also signup through mynetfone.com.au/whirlpool

    • Need to keep $20 in account? No. But your account must be in credit. 1c is all you need.

this is a good deal for those that dont want unlimited. otherwise dodo is the one to go for

  • I'm currently with them and not recommend it at all. Kept having problem with speed and their support close at 8:00 PM. No email including ( not that I need).

    • I agree their customer support leaves something to be desired but for the cheapest naked provider, I found the service excellent value. You just need to post your problem on Whirlpool (by 3G phone probably if your internet is down) so it will leave a public record and motivate their arses to work.

    • I have been with MNF for over 1 year and they provide good value service for money.
I am very happy with their service and simple price structure (no hidden cost like other budget providers).
My speed went up significantly from exetel - although they use exactly same line and infrastructure (ie. I 'churned'). So speed change may vary depending on situation.

I would love to sign up this offer if I was out of contract.
Recommended if you look for good valued service.

  • Great price, great plan. And, MNF are easy to deal with. Just note that you do not get an email address with these plans, MNF do not provide mail servers.

I'm also currently with Mynetfone ADSL2+ and VOIP and very happy. Been with them for ADSL for nearly a year and previously VOIP only for several years.
Migrated from Bigpond Cable, and using Wifi not finding any difference in speed surfing the internet.
Downloads slower than cable but perfectly acceptable at 1MB/s.

They provide very stable service in Vic and NSW.
They've had problems with dropouts in WA and Queensland, but I thought they have improved that.

    Very good deal, IMO.

  • Limited time only - Offer available between 25 August - 31 October 2011?

  • Just rang these guys (very confusing conversation)and if you have an existing ADSL service then you won't make the deal cut off, as they only take new ADSL orders on a vacant line. ???

VOIP service requires a $50 modem upgrade and phone converter for $20 if you don’t have one.

Can take up to 21 days for connection of new service after order and confirmation of line availability. So no 2 months discount, $50 more for a modem and a chance of losing your home number in porting. Ok for new service and no VOIP.

  • I was with MyNetFone in my old place and they were great. We moved after 6 months and had to disconnect which meant paying the $99 contract breakage fee. I'd certainly recommend them. I'm going with TPG this time as I couldn't get their service before.

    • TPG dont do VOIP anymore i think…

Im with penytel, cant complain so far,
10 cent mobile calls (charged based on how much you use)
150 free calls to 80 countries/destinations (then 8 cent untimed after that)
      dial in number
      5 bux a month

they had a simular deal with no free calls, that you didnt pay a monthly fee for too… decent quality too, had no issues with them.

  • We've been on a whirlpool saver VOIP plan with MNF for a few years now. have had no trouble whatsoever with them in that regard. Phone bill now averages $2 to $3 a month. :)

  • I agree their VOIP has been wonderful .. especially their Whirlpool saver ….

Recently switched from internode to MNF for ADSL2+ and speeds have dropped by nearly half (same exchange and everything) ….

There is only one support guy who knows what hes doing and he's regularly on the whirlpool forums as well …

Other support is quite poor ….
