Notes:

T&C's:

  • 20% cashback offer on a $10 Amazon gift card is valid from 12.00am to 11.59pm AEST on 20th June 2021 or while stocks last (whichever occurs first).
  • Each customer may only purchase one $10 Amazon gift card during the promotional period.
  • Each person is eligible for 20% cashback once both parties have purchased.
  • 20% cashback offer is applicable in these scenarios:

SCENARIO 1:

  • You purchase a $10 Amazon gift card via the ShopBack Super Store
  • You share your personalized Amazon $10 gift card group buy referral link with a friend
  • Your friend purchases a $10 Amazon gift card using your personalized group buy referral link (by 20th June 2021 11.59pm AEST)

SCENARIO 2:

    Honestly it’s not too difficult, took less than a minute for my husband and I. Took longer to read OP’s instruction..
    I bought first, sent him the link generated via text. He clicks on the link which directs him to purchase via SB app, he make purchase, done!
    Hope this makes it easier to understand :)

        It's just between person 1 & person 2 :)

      Definitely against it. I am not here to sell shooback stuff. And one that isn't even worth much no sorry. it's a ridiculous idea.

      Also hate the referral bonuses not pad until the person refered adds their payout details ?? Why people I refer do not feel confident, nor do I feel comfortable telling them it's safe (mainly due to the SEP 2020 data breach) in giving their payment details and hence much more want to get their referral bonuses via discounted GCs.

      One can convince themselves but much harder to convince others

    I'd like to take advantage of it.
    Wife sent me the link, but then my phone crashed during purchase and I can't complete it for whatever reason. Strange and disappointing.

  • How long before the cashback is confirmed and available to spend?
    The excessive time frames on cashback are not attractive.

    • With Gift Cards, it will be tracked within a few days and confirmed within 2 weeks (max)

      I understand the time frames for online cashback can be quite high, but it's not up to us at the end of the day.
      We simply pass on the commission within the time frame gives to us by merchants.

    With this much Hassel why not simply refuse the $4 discount of two $10 ( $20 purchase of the gift card)

    Cannot be bothered convincing others to buy gift cards for mere $2 return

  • Deal expired? My partner gets "NOT FOUND" message in the shopback app under "Deal Details".
    After clicking on the deal it fails already for my partner!
    If I need to choose between the deal and my partner, then the choice is easy.

  • I'm sure this was unpublished yesterday under "Requested by OP". It's almost as if the rep knows it's an absolute shitshow for $2 on Amazon.

    I wonder how much Shopback is actually passing on of the discount and how much they're saving for themselves..

          Again I'm not quite sure I fully understand the question?
          If you're referring to the commissions we make from Amazon, we hardly make any (it's like 1% or 2% we keep, 0% on the categories that don't pay).
          Deb just passes on the message Amazon's reporting software gives to us. If the customer raises an issue about the cashback, we will submit a ticket back to Amazon asking for the customer's cashback to be re-checked.

          • @gotyourback: I'm meaning the fact that if this bonus is 100% funded by you there is no other third party you have to wait for to get the "all clear" but it is still going to take several weeks. That gives enough time for people with regular busy lives to forget they haven't been paid out.

            It's not just Amazon btw I've been burnt one too many times by large purchases not tracking (but funnily enough all the small ones went through fine) and somehow the fault is always put back on to the customer.

              With gift cards in general, it's always 100% on us.
              We sell those Gift Cards ourselves, so no 3rd party will get a say in the cashback on that.
              There should never be a reason not to get cashback on Gift Cards (unless something super dodgy is going on).
              If an error does occur, we fix it asap.

              With regards to the wait time for Gift Card cashback, it can take up to 2 weeks to be confirmed, but it usually only takes 1 week.
              Which in comparison to other wait times, is quite short haha.

              As a customer myself, I understand it can be frustrating with missing cashback.
              Just send me a message if there are ever any issues as I'll always help get the cashback, if there's no reason for it to be declined.
              I'm also working with Customer Support to better our communications, thanks to all the feedback I've seen in our communities :)

                And this is why I stopped using it because this "super dodgy" stuff seemed to occur within different aspects. I'm far from alone in this matter, but posting it on a public forum will help neither of us so I'll spare the full details.
