I have really been enjoying this coffee, it's definitely an acidic coffee so if you don't like that it might not be for you.

Follow the instructions as per the packet for espresso by making the grinds courser than you may normally have them and the acidity is balanced with a beautiful deep sweetness.

I have also really enjoyed this coffee as a v60 as well.

Thanks Lime Blue, look forward to the next offering.

    • Woohoo thank you so much for your recent order with us and kicking off the comments with such a wonderfully complimentary (and helpful) message, it truly means so much to us!!! :) :) :)

Hi Op, is there a way to get these in 250g or 500 g bags?

    • I really appreciate you taking the time to reach out!

There sure is; when you look at the product page options there's a category called "Packaging," by default "1kg Bag/s" is pre-selected, simply click the drop down menu and you'll see an option for "500g Bag." Please note, selecting "500g Bags" will increase the price per kg by $3 (this accounts for the 50% off discount), this is to cover the extra packaging, label and time/labour for the smaller bags.

Please let me know if you have any more questions :)

  • Did anyone purchase this on the last deal? What were your thoughts? I tried their Peru single origin a few months back… it was ok but I didn't love it. Is this one any better?

How does it compare to the likes of Inglewood and Arjo for both black and milk based coffees?

    • IMO It's more or less compare to the other "bargain" single origin apart from increasing grinder notch as mentioned about, so the bang for bucks logic works.

My current challenge is that grind adjustment works then when I make two cup of coffees in a row, the 2nd one tend to pouring like hell. So thinking about reduce the notch when I do that.

      • Thanks pilmarion. So you aren't getting consistent shots? That's annoying. I had a similar experience with the single origin last time. They quality also dropped off after a week. Normally I get decent pours for 2-3 weeks before it goes stale.

        • Hey Nahz,

We really appreciate your recent order with us, thank you truly :)

Thank you for sharing such candid feedback, because silent complaints are the most difficult to address :)

Every day after the fresh coffee is roasted the flavour with change slightly, as is the case for all roasted coffee, due to degassing and oxidation. I believe IMO the flavour changes (which I find interesting and exciting), as opposed to dropping in quality. As the coffee changes the grind setting needs to get tweaked slightly inline with these changes. To each their own and I appreciate individual peoples flavour perception does vary, however, this coffee ages the same as all roasted coffee, as such 100% doesn't go stale within a week of roasting. If you have the time, could you please let me know what machine and grinder you are using?

          • @LimeBlueCoffee: Thanks for the reply LimeBlueCoffee. I wasn't complaining, it was just my experience with the coffee. I'm not saying it was bad coffee, just not as great and consistent as others I've tried. I am using a Breville BES870. Thanks

            • +1

@nahz: Sure thing, I do sincerely appreciate the "I'm not saying it was bad coffee" clarification and send my apologies if I misinterpreted the "quality drop" part of your message as a complaint :)

I have absolutely no problem with you sharing your personal flavour preference feedback, I know it's impossible to roast a coffee that will suit everyone's personal taste, but I like a challenge, so the team will keep striving to please as many people as we can!!!

Hopefully we'll have a coffee some day that will tick all the boxes for you, until that day we wish you the best with your brewing adventures :) :) :)

p.s. as you've got a 54mm coffee basket the brew ratio's on our bags should work well, however you'll have to lower the dose example from 20g to 18g or less grams depending on your grind setting and personal preference combined with the feedback the machine gives you (puck moisture consistency, pressure, extraction quality…). Also, you shouldn't need to use the duel wall basket that comes with the machine if you're using the grinder, I'm guessing you may already know this, just thought it couldn't hurt to mention it :)

      • Morning :)

Thanks so much for the awesome vote of confidence, it's sincerely appreciated!!!

I really appreciate the feedback, I've tested heaps of shots (as we do with every profile), each shot pours consistently with the grinder dialed in, I fully acknowledge that different equipment operates differently. If you have the time would you mind please letting me know what machine and grinder you are using so I can work on remote troubleshooting?

        • Sure thing, thanks.

Breville oracle (BES980) using double shot basket with grinder notch 17 (up from the usual 15) with 27 seconds extraction time

          • +4

@[Deactivated]: That's very helpful, thank you so much for taking the time to share the extra info!!!

The Oracle doses 20-22 grams (usually closer to the 22g), so please keep this in mind with extraction ratios. I suspect that your shots may be building up too much pressure, resulting in the water finding the path of least resistance, fracturing the puck and channeling. Depending on the use/sharpness of your burrs, I'd say an Oracle should have a grind setting at least around the mid 20's for this SO. Oracle burrs heat up fairly quickly, as such there will be a difference between pulling a single shot and making 3 coffees in a row. I'd recommend you grind off some coffee before pulling a shot, this will achieve two things:
            1) Purge out the old residual coffee sitting in the grind chute. As the Oracle grind adjustments are macro not micro, I'd also recommend purging/grinding out a full dose in between each grind setting adjustment, otherwise the shot will be half pre-ground on an older setting and half freshly ground on the new setting; this will lead to mixed results
            2) This will help stabilise the burr temp, by slightly heating the burrs, otherwise the first shot will be ground with cold burrs, second warmer and third hot burrs, which will lead to mixed extraction results.

Please let me know if you have any more questions or queries, fingers crossed the above is helpful :)

So far tried this, South Central and Moments to Memories. They were all great as some who loves lighter roasts with fruity flavour.

    My current list;
Tier A: Lime blue, Five Senses
Tier B: Market lane, Industry beans, The Little Marionette, Seven Seeds
    Tier C: Campos, Duke's, Axil
    Tier D: Pablo & Rusty's, Grinders, Fox
    Tier E: Bada

    • WOW WOW WOW "Tier A" is hard to beat, thank you immensely for the wonderful and most welcomed compliment/vote of confidence!!!

The team also truly appreciates your orders with us and looks forward to your future orders coming through the door :) :) :)

  • what are the next single origins will you stock up to replace the brazil peaberry op?

    • Great question, we'll let everyone know when we're ready to launch it, just so info doesn't get released in dribs and drabs in terms of Origin, flavour profile, availability date…

That said if you'd like to send us an email I'll happily give you a heads up upon the launch of our next featured roasting Single Origin :)

  • Do you offer your coffees in mixed bundles? I wouldn't mind buying a smaller bag of the 3, but don't generally like committing to the full kg of an untried bean.

    • I really appreciate you reaching out :)

Every now and then we do offer combos on our site, could you please send me an email when you have the time detailing what combo you are interested in?

Would love a deal on the decaf.

        • Thank you so much for taking the time to reach out, we may have something special in store for you in the near future :)

Could you please send us an email when you have the time?

  • I'll be trying this for the first time. Anyone here tried these and uses a breville smart grinder? What setting have you found works best for these beans if you want to make a latte? Just trying to figure out a good start grind to try and reduce wastage :)

    • I use the smart grinder but messed with the shim thingy inside so my grind number won't correspond to standard I don't think. I was able to grind for less time and coarser than the previous beans I was using though. Sorry not much help.

Any chance of another promo? Missed out on this.

I've got a few friends asking for recommendations lately and I'm always suggesting the Moments to Memories Blend - after going through a good 15kg of coffee over the last year or so of different brands, blends, origins, etc. we've settled on M2M and refuse to use anything else. I'll spread the word that a deal is incoming :)

WOW WOW WOW what a wonderfully thoughtful compliment, thank you immensely, huge smile on this side of the screen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
