I have strong recollections of playing this back in the day, ran like a charm on my Pentium 1 133Mhz, with 8MB Ram (or was it 16mb?), had a Sound blaster sound card as well ;)
If only it supports TCP/IP and I would still be playing it today! IPX only and although its possible to get working across the internet via tunnelling, it's just a bit painful.
oh boy, the memories! between this and GTA and a few other old games that are now free, it makes you wonder why people are still paying for pacman!
Anyone actual got this running on vista? I can't get it to run.
From now on, apparently - it's been released as freeware: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Command_&_Conquer:_Red_Alert. This is now an 11 year old game, though, so it's probably mainly of interest if you've never played it. It was groundbreaking for its time, but 1996 is a long time ago!
