the Emma Comfort mattress had the highest rating by Choice on 8th June 2021, but I can't seem to find the Emma Comfort mattress anywhere on the Emma website. The only mattress they had on their website is the Emma Original mattress.

    • Yep, I noticed that. Maybe it’s about to come out? Otherwise no references to it anywhere in the world :)

  • I had a terrible experience with Emma Sleep. Took 18 days to resolve. Two delivery dates resulted in no shows on the third attempt they sent the wrong size. Waited a few more days to get the ordered size and a few more after that to have the wrong size collected. Customer service was very poor. No phone number to call, just emails which often took days to respond. I paid $569 for my king size but it wasn't worth it for the mess around caused.

  • How does this go in the heat?

Bottom end of the market, folks

No ,meaningful after sales support, spotty delivery process

We bought one of these awful mattresses a while back, and within 100 days we asked to return it. Too soon, purred the email response, so we parked it outside and then dumped it on the grass verge.

    Gross, Hot. Heavy. Yuk.

  • It's an ok mattress but too soft for me. However the after sale support is pretty weak - they volunteered to give me a comfort layer that never appeared due to backlog issues.

  • I bought one at the end of April this year (so I've had it for about 1.5 months) and happy with it.

I do agree though, their customer support seems shit and I think they marked up the price. I had a queen which was $1000 marked down to $600 from 40% off. Then a 10% coupon/code to bring it to $540 whereas now it looks like the base price is $1100.

  • I've had mine for about a month and am happy with it and sleeping really well. Delivery was a bit of a shemozzle, I asked for it to be sent on a specific future day, it wasn't sent, a week later I followed up and they hadn't even noticed, then a week after the original finally came another one turned up unexpectedly (which I then had to arrange to send back, so all a bit of a hassle) - perhaps look elsewhere if you need a reliable or quick delivery timeframe, but otherwise I'm happy with the mattress itself (I was worried it would be too firm but it's not, I find it really comfortable).

Bought one last sale. Delivery was fine. Very fast. But I couldn’t get comfortable sleeping on it even with the extra comfort layer. After owning one, I don’t see the fuss or value in this type of mattress. Got sore shoulder and the back support was not adequate for me. They seem happy to take it back but it’s been more than a month and no arrangements for pick up. Luckily I have somewhere to store it. I don’t think I’d buy another mattress in a box. Gone back to a Sealy - chalk and cheese compared with Emma, for my needs.

  • I’m suspicious about choice’s methodology. All mattresses, including retail and boxed mattresses, except Emma, scored 64% comfort or below. How is that possible.

  • Bought one during Mother’s Day sale. My back aches went away and as a bonus my wife no longer uses her electric blanket, she’s warm enough now. Only negative so far was the weird smell that lasted a couple of weeks (not hours as they say). I personally am done with box spring, all too often I can feel the springs in mattresses.

  • Bought an Emma Original queen mattress 2 months ago for $521(with a promocode from some bed blog). Super quick delivery received it next day. But however the mattress is super uncomfortable now. No idea why but side sleeping on it ruins my shoulders and heavy body pain. Also horrible smell lasted for 3 4 days. Owned Zzz atelier before and it sagged within a year. Returning it within their 100 day trial.

No idea what else to get. Any suggestions

  • Anyone know how this brand compared with Sleeping Duck? Thanks in advance.
