So blowing out all the dust on the old filters don't work?

Tbh I don't find my airpurifer pulls out much dust at all.

      Not sure if troll comment…

    • I tried to vacuum mine after seeing some vids online but didn't help.

      • I did too, it didn't work.

Have you tried washing these in the laundry tub with hot water and soap? Water looks so gross afterwards. Then sit it in the sun until dry.

Note: This may be wrong/bad, no guarantees, I know nothing.

I just want to buy some RFID sticks so I can get a double use out of each filter! Anyone know how to trick the purifier to think it's a new filter?

    • +2

Why? It still flows air though the filter even when it says the filter is down to 0%. You just need to remember when you installed it to change so you don't leave it too long between changes.

      • The nagware is winning. It is sooo annoying I just buy a new filter.

I just turned off the display.

i just took the nfc reader out. Now it says using non genuine filter from time to time which is less annoying.

      • Hmmm how did you manage to take it out?

        • +1

i took it out when i was cleaning to fan. some good video on youtube.

Pretty easy. just unscrew the bottom, you should be able to see the reader straight away, simply unplug it if you don't want to take it out.

    • It may depend on your model, some post was saying that you can put some foil on the bottom to block the RFID read and the purifier will assume the filter is an older non-RFID version and continue as normal

  • They don't make it easy to redeem gift cards on there.

  • I can't tell the differences between the colours, all seem to have the same Qualities

    • I do note purple not anti-formaldehyde… but isnt that what charcoal does?

This is the cheapest ever for the HEPA filter I think, previous was around $29. Good deal!

  • Which would be the best one for general everyday use in a standard environment?

    • +3

      I'd take the HEPA filter.

Thanks. I bought 2 using gift card bought from this deal. So worked out to be $43.25 for 2.

Nice, I will add to description so others can benefit.

Kogan First won't even give free shipping to places like Townsville… what a load of shit

Does anyone know if this is compatible with the bigger Pro version?

  • It's always hard to compare the filters. Is purple everything grey is, plus more, or does the plain HEPA filter (grey) do better at some things? Would get purple for the dust mite protection, but if grey does better overall at removing allergens that might be the better buy.

    • The individual links in my post take you straight to the description of each, what they can filter.

      • Yes, but technically the grey should filter dust mites given it does down to 0.3microns. Too much choice in this modern day and age!

        • Yeah, I think the best bet is to go the HEPA filter over any of the others.

          • @theory: Yes I agree with HEPA filter for general purpose.

Don't forget to combine also with LatitudePay (spend $60 for $20 off) or Kogan GC (8% off) for max savings.

    • Good thinking. Buy 3 for 75 - 20 = $55, or ~$18 each delivered!
