Fantastic price! I bought it last week from Appliances Online's website for $405 which was also decent price for it. Bummed I missed this deal though, as is is super rare they go below $400! It is a great machine for bread dough (which cheap ones usually struggle with). If you are on the fence, just get it! It is a great machine and amazing price!

  • this one or kichenaid?

      definitely kenwood.
      mrs got titanium xl

      kenwood, rock solid

kitchen aid, design looks good, but not as sturdy as kenwood from my previous research prior getting one for my mrs

      • am also looking for mrs. Kenwood Chef xl also smilar to titanium xl ?

      • It really is rock solid. I wasn't monitoring it one time and my bench is a bit too smooth so on the highest speed it moved and my kenwood fell onto the floor, it was slightly damaged but the Kenwood still works perfectly, it was scary but also impressive haha. So can confirm, rock solid.

I wouldn't be too sure how a Kitchenaid would go with a fall like my Kenwood went through.

    • Kenwood a lot more powerful, great for bread/pasta dough.
Obviously not as iconic as kitchen aid

Depends on how much power you need.

KitchenAid KSM160 which was $559 in the most recent deal is 300 watts.
Kenwood Chef XL is 1200 watts.
Kenwood Titanium XL is 1700 watts.

There are also attachments i.e. pasta roller/cutter. Depends on what your wife wants to do.

      • Can’t compare the watts that way. Divers are in Different spots. Kitchenaid 300 is prob the sand as 1200 in Kenwood as the motor is directly powered

        • Thanks for the interesting insight. In that case is there a way to compare effectiveness of motors?

Kitchenaid for cakes, Kenwood for dough.

Kitchenaid can do about 1.1kg of dough, Kenwood will do about twice that.

Kenwood has a larger range of optional accessories.

Kitchenaid are far better built and will typically last much longer. Ignore anyone who says "but my granny had a Kenwood since 1971!" because they're barely the same machine in terms of build & component quality.

  • Apart from kneading dough, what else can it do?

  • What are the main differences between this and the KVL6300s?

    From what I can see:
    Motor size
    Folding capability
Aluminium vs stainless steel (dishwasher safety also changes as a result)

    • Other than power, the KVL6300S has planetary mixing.

Google says planetary mixers are more versatile. They are often referred to as “all-purpose” mixers. They can prepare everything from sauces, frosting and mashed potatoes to cookie, pizza and bread doughs. The removable whip, beater and hook attachments allow for much more flexibility in mixing.

Quick eBay search shows the lowest KVL6300S with the Afterpay coupon is also from Appliances Online. Comes down to $500.65 which is pretty damn good value too

  • Bought one thanks

  • Thanks. This was on my wifes wish list for her birthday in 2 weeks.

  • For some reason it comes up as $346.80 after coupon. Am I doing something wrong?

    • Nah, they upped the price by $3 from $405 to $408 lol. Regardless still cheaper than its ever been

  • Much difference between this and the XL Sense? In specs can see the Sense has Folding tool but that's about all I can see as the difference
