$100 Each for Referrer & Referee for Opening Orange Everyday + Savings Maximiser Accounts @ ING

1473

Looks like ING has upped their referrals back to $100, most likely targeted (as that's how it has been in the past).

Here's what it says in the email I received:

ING is Australia's most recommended bank.

So if you've got friends yet to discover ING's great value, send them our way and you could bank a $100 reward - each!

This is what is required (before the 31st of July):

  1. Go to ing.com.au/everyday, open a new Orange Everyday and enter the promo code in the promo box at the end of the online form - this part's really important otherwise neither of you will get your reward!

  2. Deposit $1,000+ (such as your pay) from an external account into your Orange Everyday account within any calendar month.

  3. Open a Savings Maximiser (if you don't already have one) and make a deposit into this account.

  4. Make 5+ settled (not pending) ING card purchases using your new Orange Everyday card within any calendar month.

  • Anyone know whether new customers signing up after this point have any possibility of being targeted for the same ongoing offer?

    • +1

Yea maybe in the next round of offer.

  • I have Savings Maximiser account which has been inactive since 2018, but that is it. No Everyday orange account.
Does anyone know if I can participate in this? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    • I am in the same situation.
I will open Everyday account anyways.

  • In Step 4, it says 5+ settled ING card transactions.

Does anyone know if once we sign up, do we get the digital Google/Samsung/Apple pay card immediately, so we don’t have to wait for the physical card to arrive?

Does anyone also know if the Google/Samsung/Apple pay transactions are considered as card transactions under Step 4?

    Many thanks in advance!

You can add the card to your digital wallet through the app without the physical card, but it’s been a while since I’ve received a new card, so I can’t recall if it needs to be physically activated first.

Yes, transactions made with Apple or Google Pay count towards the monthly 5 required. But remember they need to be settled, i.e. not still pending to meet this requirement. So making them in the last few days of the month is risky. If you use eftpos with the physical card, the transaction should settle immediately. ING currently does not offer Samsung Pay.

      • Great thanks ieatcrackers!

Would you also happen to know the points in the link below (since to qualify for the promo, Step 4 transactions exclude eftpos):

      • I opened an account 3 days ago. I can't find the digital card in the app. Where do you find it. On the website it says it will take 2 to 5 business day from them to dispatch the physical card nothing about digital card,

        • I think you need the actual card to add the digital card now.
Happy to be proven wrong though.. I want to add my digital card now ;)

        • Yeh you need to wait for the physical card to arrive.

  • Anyone know if the 5 settled transactions can be online purchases or limited to the EFTPOS terminal? Thanks!

Online should be ok. I've done it before with online purchases, particularly those with overseas merchants.

  • Does anyone know if the $100 bonus is paid at the end of each calendar month or as the requirements are completed?

  • Hello!

Did anyone receive the referral amount?

I know my housemate completed all the requirements and he was never an ING customer.

Based on the terms and conditions the money should have been deposited by end of calendar month.

"Once you complete the steps, you'll receive your cash reward the following calendar month."

My guess they would deposit the money by the end of july.

    • I just got my $50 for opening in May under the previous referral offer

  • Never been targeted haha

  • Never done a referral before do I just click on the link and someone will send me a code?

    • You click the referral link and send a PM to the user asking for their code and some proof to ensure they were targeted for the offer.

  • Anyone got their $100 yet?

    • Nope, I got an email saying, I will get it next month.

  • Hmn probably too late to do this huh, since you need the physical card to arrive

  • Just received my $100

  • Does online/Amazon charges count towards the 5 txns per month?

  • Received my $100 today

  • Received mine under "Miscellaneous Credit"

  • Hi everyone,

Reading all the comments above, I'm still confused on how to make the 5 transactions. Do I simply just tap my physical card?

I called ING last night, he advised me to only insert the card and select Credit to pay. But I tried this morning, it got declined. I then tried Savings instead and it worked. Not sure if this counts as one transaction?

next time you're at a coles or woolies, go to self-serve checkouts and make 5x split payments of 1c each using tap & go.

  • Has anyone elses not come through yet?

    • I think people used my code but I dont know if they met the criteria

      • Apparently the reason I didn't qualify was that I didn't deposit the $1000+ into the savings maximiser account. I did make a $20 deposit to the savings maximiser account because the requirements in this post didn't say an amount. They have given me the $100 in good will.

        • @applause That's strange though. The terms and conditions didn't say you have to have $1000+ in the maximizer. Having said that, I have yet received my $100 bonus.

  • Ridiculous condition made me ineligible for the $100.
"Deposit $1,000 or more within a calendar month from an external account (another bank)
Another bank, meaning not ING.. fine writing found at the bottom of the promo email.

    • you don't have another bank account you could transfer from? you just had to send $1k out to that other bank, and send it right back into your ING account.

      • I mistakenly deposited $1k from another ING account, not from a diff bank acc.
Promo ended on 31 July so no transfers will make me qualify now..
