Thank you added to the listing

    • You should post that as a deal!

    • +3

Some duck feathers are harvested very cruelly, any idea if these feathers are ethically sourced?

      • +4

These come straight from Coach Bombay himself

      • +1

I bought a duck feather pillows and they are too annoyed, spiked through the cover to my face

    • The code doesn't work anymore?

      • Just checked.
        Working for me

        • I see. it only work once for each plus account

    • Cheers!! Bought 2

    • Anyone know how warm these are? I have some duck feather duvet from years ago and they don't seem to be warm enough for Melbourne weather at the moment (no heating)

Edit: nvm seems the feather come out.

  • was just about to post it.

  • +2

Hmm they've got a Bamboo Queen quilt cover for $38 here

How are their Bamboo sheets? Worth it for the price?

    • Cheaper at Catch but very limited colours available

  • Cheers ordered one of the sets and the comfort quilt.

  • +7

Interesting to know what exactly is this "premium microfibre blend"? Polyester? Cotton? Nylon? Recycled garbage? All of the above?

    • +2

For that price.. Gotta be polyester.

    • +4

I know right?!? It's cheap for a reason. Misleading titles advertising as 'premium'

      • +3

        thank you!

        cancelled my order

        • Good. Think why it is at that price before you jump the gun

    • +4

      Microfibre is definitely not cotton.

  • +1

    Grabbed one cheers!

    • +1

damm, just needed some cheap sheets guys why the downvotes eh :)

  • +11

Any more reviews on the quilt or sheet? Read this online and given the crazy cheap price am sceptical:

'Extremely poor quality product, feathers come out of quilt and pierce through the cover, I constantly get stabbed by the ends of the feathers or I wake up to find feathers all over the place, very disappointing'

'feathers keep coming out and irritating me hurt me like needles very disappointed

Disaster, I bought two end of last Winter and have opened this week. I have been vacuuming feathers since.

    • Can you post the link of this comment? thanks

      • Search catch of the day for royal comfort duck quilt. Bot deleted my reply

        • Thanks for trying :)

    • Hmm might cancel and refund instead.. after reading some of the comments

      • What did you buy?

        • The quilt, apparently hundreds of feathers comes out of it all daily, according to reviews on Catch.

          • +3

@buckethat: quilt is something you have to invest money in, no cheap stuff will ever be as nice

            • @botchie: Yup.. taking your advice on that, cancelled my order.

              • +1

                @buckethat: I would recommend

Ever UGG Luxury Australian Pure Wool Quilt - 500

Think on sale I got it for $120 for King, its been real nice and warm …..

                • @botchie: Warm enough for Melb winter or would you recommend upping it to 700?

                  • +1

@q28: Yeah I'm in Sydney so 500 is just right, would go for 700 in Vic

  • +3

So many votes but no reviews and not very many comments…

    • And votes still incoming 😅

  • +6

Keep in mind these are 30% Bamboo 70% Microfibre, hence the high TC

    • +6

      Yep.

A fairer description would be to call them 2000 TC polyester sheets with 30% bamboo.

Don't fall for the 70% premium microfiber nonsense!

  • 2000 TC would be incredibly high for cotton. Does anyone know if 2000 TC bamboo/microfiber is considered high?

    • +6

It's standard for sheets that are 70% polyester.

      Nothing special here.

  • +7

Thread counts are bullcrap and why would you buy bedding that isn't 100% cotton.

    • +2

Mom said, if it wasn't cotton, don't touch!!!

  • +1

signed up for 1 month to buy….

  • +3

Not 100% bamboo cotton. No thanks.

    • +1

I always had cheap sheets, tried to buy 100% bamboo and twice now they developed a hole and started to tear within 6 months, no buying bamboo again …..

      • I have a few 100% bamboo cotton sets, the longest I've used for over a year, almost 2. Still going well, no holes or anything. Ymmv

    • Bamboo isn't cotton, it's just a new term for viscose rayon.

  • +17

Thread count is a scam. Not 100% cotton. Surprised at how many upvote this deal has

    • Revoked vote and cancelled order.

  • +14

Why is ozbargain buying into this fake and misleading thread count rubbish?

    • Because it's cheap as chips. I'll just continue with my 🍚

  • Reviews for the quilt on Kogan seem pretty okay

    https://www.kogan.com/au/buy/royal-comfort-duck-feather-down…

    • +3

I wouldn't trust any review on Kogan to be real, or at the very least Kogan filtering out the "real" reviews

    • I agree with cute ducks, I've got a a cotton sheet set from kogan that had lots of positive reviews. Out of the packet it smelled like sewer water and then after I washed, it was covered in pills.

  • +1

If you want these sheets in single size, cheaper to buy here with the 20% eBay Plus code PLUSTI20 (works out $23.20 each or less if you buy more than 1):
    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/164748822177

Other sizes are available, but are more than $25 each. But get 5-10% off if you buy more than 1 (5% off 2 sets, 7% off 3 sets, 10% off 4 sets). Probably other listings on eBay as well similar to this (and likely to have more colour selections available than this $25 listing as a lot of colours seem to be sold out.

  • +3

Rubbish and the duvet feathers come out. Don't waste your money on this junk. And they are still making a healthy profit at this 'special' price..

  • +8

cancelled order. Dont appreciate scam tactics

  • +3

30% natural bamboo and 70% premium microfibre blend

600 TC bamboo, 1400 TC plastic. Enjoy!

    • +1

Yup, enough for me to vote it down. False advertising.

As they say if it seems too good to be true it probably is (though to be fair that's not always the case on Ozbargain).

    • How do you cancel order, do you need to contact the seller

  • +25

I've bought this before. It's terrible, I ended up throwing it out. Don’t be fooled by marketing terms such as “2000 TC” and “Bamboo”. The title should say blended bamboo since it’s less than 50% bamboo. Kmart sheets would honestly be better than this. Word of advice, cancel your order if it hasn't already shipped.

    • Cancelled mine, thanks.

What about the quilt one, same 💩? Cancellation is still pending on the quilt…

Edit: apparently it's bad too. Hopefully it will get cancelled.

      • +4

Never bought the quilt so can’t comment on it. But the sheets are sooooo thin. When I received the set I remember thinking how in the world did they manage to fit it all in such a small package. Then after opening it I realised how bad the quality was - You could easily rip a hole in it because they’re that thin.

    • +1

      Considering
      a) they used the same photos to photoshop them into different colours and
      2) the fact it is on Groupon

To be enough reason not to buy.

      • thanks!

oh well, the missus wanted to try 'em out. let's find out eh?

  • Fingers crossed it's not as bad as everyone is on about for $25, too late to cancel my order…
Have the Harvey Norman bamboo/cotton L'Avenue sheets that we personally love, and if this is half as good it'll be worth it.

    • +2

      Guarantee you will be disappointed.

      • 😭

        • +1

Damn I didn't mean to make you cry :( Just message the seller and request cancellation. Or gift it away to someone you despise :)

        • +5

          Ebay plus has free returns

    • +4

Ebay plus has free returns so you dont need to worry.
If you dont like it simply return it

  • +1

    List price $119.00

Not a chance for 70% polyester.

These will be ultra-thin and ultra-light. One good thing about that is they'll dry superfast. The time you carry them to the clothesline they will be dry. Using a tumble dryer? Set it to 30 seconds.

  • +3

tried contact seller to cancel the orders but they message me saying it has already dispatched 1 sec after email notify me of dispatching. LOL

    gonna return it for sure

    • +1

My partner contacted them 2 times asking to cancel. 2 different times, and her msgs were ignored…Until…they shipped it then msgd her saying sorry items have been shipped.

      Return incoming. (profanity).

      • Much the same. Emailed about cancellation early last night, got shipping notification late this afternoon and then a response later again that they had already shipped and couldn't return. Possibly they have a mountain of cancellation requests they are struggling to get through? Haha.

    • Yep have already spoken to ebay who said to just return it when I get it. They're getting a return and negative feedback for their dodgy tactics.

      • +1

Surprisingly the quilt is not under ebay plus. So buyers has to cover return shipping. Really dodgy ebay and seller.

        • If you paid by paypal you can use paypal has an long term ongoing offer: they refund your shipping charger.

If you used debit card, talk with ebay agent, obv they will waive the shipping charge and will provide free to post labels for sure.

          • @fantoo: I was on chat with ebay team yesterday and they insist that I need to pay for return shipping. I even asked for supervisor but the operator told me supervisor not available. I'm going to try again. Just disappointed that they ran such promotion with non ebay plus listed items and operator is not helpful.

            • @akte: wow. Thats awful customer service.
Had it happen with amazon they would simply waive the fee.
I have had couple of incident with amazon before.

But will try with ebay as soon as item arrives.

Anyways, do you know you can ask paypal to refund the return shipping charge

              • @fantoo: Yes I know, unfortunately I paid using CC for this one. All my other orders were done in Paypal…just this one is in CC. I will definitely report the seller as they are very dodgy and till now they don't even suggest you to return and get refund. All they said in the email is that we cannot do any amendment since it's been shipped.

                • @akte: I had a talk with the seller and he said return can be scheduled once item gets delivered.

I was thinking you could just send back the package to the same guy that comes in for delivery.

                  • @fantoo: Thanks. It's funny how the seller ignore my emails but yet respond to yours. They probably have tons of email to go through or just simply ignored mine. I'll try to email the seller again.

  • +1

If you see stock DON'T BUY probably returned sheets

  • Just recieved the bed sheets, they pretty thin

But also pretty soft and silky so not complaining for $25

    Good buy

  • I got a "delivery shipped" notification and the sheets have apparently been delivered to a different suburb and state than the one provided. Not sure if it is a scam or mistake.

    • Shouldn't be. Just go to ebay and mark that you didn't received it.
I got my quilt and it does have odour and the feather quite pokey. I'll be returning it for sure.

      • Wrong shipping info it seems, as they provided another tracking number and sheets arrived next day. They are on bed now and are actually reasonable quality (noting the blend) and am happy with them for $25.

  • Cancelled my order. Got my refund.. but also got my duvet?

    • +1

      win win

  • They have tried to scrooge me with a partial refund. Hihohiho off to disputes we go.

    • I was able to get a full refund after sending it back without much fuss.
