See a hot asian chick nearby?

    • or pricing guaranteed to offend the vertically-challenged?

  • Not a bad deal, on the lookout for an 8GB/16GB flash drive deal though.

    • 3x4= 12 :D

I bought these last time, they are so crappy it is not funny. So damn slow I fell asleep while copying a 1.2GB file to them, I think it was 6+ minutes from memory. Waste of money unless time is cheap for you.

    • Someone benchmarked the 8GB version and got a pretty poor 4.5MB/s write, but someone also got 9.45MB/s on the 4GB version. Testing methodology is unknown (aside from both using CheckFlash) so YMMV.

you fell asleep in 6 minutes while looking at a computer screen, and probably transferring something important or to be used immediately.

I call your bluff riggit, specially given the average time taken for a person to fall asleep without distractions is 15 minutes

I don't approve of riggit's comment. 1.2GB at 6 minutes is 3.33MB per second, it's fine for a $4.66 flash drive, plus it comes with three so if you use them at the same time you'll get 10MB per second, making it go great with my $199 netbook

    • i also do not approve of riggit's comment. riggit hates the product but, we are comparing deals. this have the cheapest deal for a brick and mortar shop (with free delivery). riggit has no supporting argument for negging this "deal"

      • Maybe you're right maybe NOT, also it doesn't look nice that you sympathies with a member and gossip about another, I could think that you guys are friend and you work at dicksmith.

You should replay directly to the one you disagree with otherwise keep the comment for yourself.

        • This is a reply to riggit comments. i do not know bentan77 and do not work in dicksmith.

i got a feeling you are riggit's friend now ^_^

i have stated the fact, we are voting on how good a deal is not how good a product is. reggit was mroe negging the product that the bargain. however i am under the assumption that ozbargainers' will not post very crappy product.

          thats my opinion

if it did offend. my bad.

      • OMG you people are vicious, vicious I say!

Anyway I might have overstated the sleep bit but after using a Voyager 8GB stick which was pretty damn fast I really did notice the slowness of these sticks, they are very slow in comparison. Also another reason this seems so painful to me is my kids come in and say "Daddy can you put that file on this for us now please", so I have to oblige and they do not leave me alone until it is copied over, therefore I feel the pain 10x :-)

    • seriously if you are concerned about speed why did you bother buying a cheap usb sticks and whinge about speed, get yourself a usb3 stick instead and stop complaining…

you can only ever have two of the three

      • speed
      • quality
      • price

      you choose…

  • I got these on the $12 HN offer posted here on 13/1 (http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/61558). I think I've lost one somewhere already :D
I see OW have them individually for $4.79 (as stated) if you don't want a 3 pack, for the 13c difference. If you only want the one its still not a bad price

    • Thanks for news, one is better than three but this usb memory is still good for kids :)

  • Just be aware these are cheap for a reason - take a good look at the pictures, entire assembly is plastic, even what slots into the USB port.

    • I'm using the 16gb version. No complaints about the build quality :)

  • This deal has been at the George St Sydney store for more than 2 weeks now..

  • Pretty good price.

  • 2/3 worked, 1 didnt work

  • Same price at HN

  • Purchased online. Cheers

    • Received today on overnight AAE :) All drives working fine.

  • +1

    DSE also has 2 x 8G for $20.00. 4G seems a bit small these days :)

  • Crazy cheap
