  • Finally pulled the pin. Needed an option for the car.

  • Replacement battery costs $80 + gst on AliExpress. Might aswell buy another unit at this price.

    • Yep. I wanted a second battery and spare filters but may as well get a whole vac for the price.

  • Anyone know of any issues with this? $65

    • is that the same one??

      It's a fake listing, check their other items, all the Xiaomi items are copies from other listings with ridiculously low prices. Most likely a bot scraping high interest items and copying and creating listings.;

This listing is a straight copy from Gearbite. Seems to happen quite often on eBay.

      • awww so what would you do, if you'd already bought?

        • I personally would go onto eBay live chat and ask to cancel ASAP. I highly doubt you would get this item and rather something else, or nothing at all.

    • I just bought it from them a minute ago. It look exactly the same but the delivery time will be longer. Let see what happen when I receive the item.

      • We're in the same boat…doweyy says it's likely a fake post and we won't get our purchase.

        Bother.

EDIT: I've also bought one from the the OP listing. Worst case scenario I end up with one vac and a refund

Excellent price. I checked taobao.com and they are selling $125 or even $315 for the exact same model.

  • That was quick, I really wanted one…

Hi all, I just want to let you know my experience with Xiaomi-Australia eBay formely known as gshopper eBay.
I have purchased this product https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/540979 on 29th May, 2020.
I started having problems approx oct-nov of 2020, and I thought it was just to the heat in the apartment. I rarely use the vacuum due to living in a 1 bedroom apartment and FIFO.

I e-mailed them on the contact in their website early-mid Jan but they didn't reply. So I had to message 'lele' about it.
Multiple e-mails and messages to lele - requesting lele to inform gshopper's account to message back to me. It's been very difficult messaging them and it appears that even though I have answered their question they keep on repeating myself (if you want to know more let me know I will forward you all our messages).

On 11th of March - they have confirmed the fault and that they will send out a battery to me and they "will bear the freight, please rest assured"

I message them again late march, mid april and no response until I messaged 'lele' again and eBay responded after a while.

After providing the serial number & video, despite them confirming that they will send out the battery - they have asked me again of the same thing, video.. serial number etc.

I told them to provide me a refund because they are not doing anything and it's been ages. It also appears that they are avoiding me.

Until now they haven't responded yet. AGAIN.

    This is the video https://www.dropbox.com/s/wv426rmkzezcs8r/20210125_121219.mp…

Also, I have confirmed with Xiaomi Australia that gshopper is not an authorised re-seller.

TL;DR - Product bought May 2020, issues started Oct-Nov 2020. Contacted 'lele' fr OzB, eBay & gShopper website multiple times to get a reply since January. Resolution fr eBay gShopper - said that they will send me a battery on March. Nil communication again until I raised the concern with lele on May. Until now nil response again.

    • I think you should fire a complaint to the fair trading of your state. the thing will get impressively fast, and you should demand a replacement, not just the battery and your don't know if it is the battery playing up

      • Hey, thanks for this. I will contact them. I told them that since I waited for a while and there are still no answer to my issue (as they don't reply to me) - is for them to refund the whole purchase price. They said they will refund it partially for the repair, but guess what… they haven't replied after that…

  • It seems these go for twice as much in China. How can a grey import possibly be so much cheaper?

    • They imported 1500 for the ebay plus sale. They tried to move them at a range of prices, I suggested $99 deal for ozbargain would move them, they agreed.

It's cost them $150k or so; but presumably a cheap investment for the brand name as going to get some decent reviews out of it I am sure.

  • Thanks op, got one to do window tracks, my most hated of vacuuming tasks.

Mine got delivered 2 days ago. Pretty impressed for the price. Good on hard floors, not too bad on carpet either. Not the best crevice tool though. Atleast I don't have to lug a heavy corded vacuum around & my child is happy to vacuum for me as part of his chores now :)

    • Hi, do you mind measuring the width of the roller head? I want to know if it'll fit in this gap between my fridge.

  • Got delivered today cheers!

    • did you get the storage rack as described?

  • anyone know out if the dreame v9 carpet brush head will work with this?

  • My only worry and question with this and any other vacuum really is can I leave it plugged in to the wall charging between uses because I need one for work but I am really only in that work site for maybe an hour tops then the next visit is 2 days away so the vacuum will be plugged in charging for 2 days straight so I need to find a cordless vacuum cleaner that is safe to keep plugged in charging between uses basically.

Right now we have battery pack vacuums at work on some sites but on smaller ones they have left us with really old bulky corded ones which are so cumbersome and heavy difficult to use for just a pretty small sized office relatively to other bigger work sites.

If any one knows of any safe to leave plugged in charging no cord vacuum cleaners please I would really be interested to know as I need to buy and leave one at one of my job sites.

Thank you stay safe and stay well and warm.

    Have a beautiful day.

  • Did any of you get the invoice for this?
I have asked them for last week and no response.

    Delivered yesterday.
    Quality feels good, very surprised
Manual is good with no typical translation errors or weird phrases.
Packaging is very good, well designed.
Dustbin is small as people mentioned
Weight is noticeable enough for me, but the trigger is nice and light. I would suggest using the electronic lock on the touchscreen for larger areas.
The smaller motorised head is difficult to push across hard wearing carpet at full power, but works well with a short length on the sofa and dog bed.
Large head is great on short hair rug and the tiles in the house. This head can get within about 1cm from the baseboard, and it still sucked the dirt up.
Came 40% charged, lasted 10-15 minutes with me screwing around at mostly full power.

Can already say I would buy again for $100, no questions.

    • Hi, do you mind measuring the width of the roller head? I want to know if it'll fit in this gap between my fridge.

      • +2

        25.6cm wide, 10.9cm deep, 5.5cm high

Measured with a Bunnings take measure… So +/- .1 haha

  • Anybody experiencing sort of burning smells during vacuuming (max power for approx. 5mins of continuous use)?

    • Not so far.
Nothing blocking the filters? Anything tangled around the motorised head?
