Kodak Wifi monitor C525 is a good one. I have this one for almost 2 years now. Had an issue with parent monitor range but kodak sent a whole new replacement with some follow up. Oricom Australia offers warranty for Kodak here. The app shows alers like motion, temperature and sound detected and is helpful. But camera has no support stand. You need to mount it yourself. This is the monitor. https://www.bubsngrubs.com.au/kodak-cherish-c525.html

    • We have the same monitor. Seems to be the best of the bunch.

Biggest complaint I have is that the temperature detected by the camera seems fairly inaccurate.

Oh also, the volume up button on the monitor is broken. But I put that down to our toddler chewing on it or something..

We've also had the Kodak Cherish C525 for over a year now. Overall pretty happy with it, and would buy it again.
I researched a lot prior to buying, and the main 2 selling points for me were the direct connection between the camera and the parent unit (plus separate WiFi connection), and the battery in both camera and parent unit. I couldn't find any other baby monitor at the time that had the same offering.

      Pros:
+ Both parent unit and camera have a ~5 hour battery. We use this with the parent unit every evening, but good peace of mind for the camera in case of a power outage, you can still view the camera.
+ Kodak app has 2FA with Authenticator, so an extra layer of security.
+ Multiple people can view via the Kodak app on their own phones at the same time, and is accessible from anywhere.
+ As above, has the direct connection between the camera and parent unit, but you can change to connect through your router if needed (and depending on distance).
+ Motion alerts through the mobile app are handy, with a 30sec video clip.
+ Night vision works pretty well.
+ You can turn the screen off while leaving the voice activated volume on low, and it only triggers the sound during the night if it detects voice/cry.
+ Support is pretty responsive if you need it.

      Cons:
      - Speaker in parent unit distorts with moderately loud cries/screams
      - Only 720p. Generally this is okay, but higher resolution would sometimes be nice when you are trying to look for the smallest movement to make sure they are breathing.
      - Google Home integration is supposedly coming (I'd love to be able to use my Google Nest Hubs to view the camera), but it's not available… not that I am aware of any baby monitors that do support this.
      - I don't fully trust the temperature or humidity readings, but gives you a general idea of how hot/cold the room is.

      Other
      * Parent unit is not touch screen - initially I thought this was a negative, but besides missing the pinch to zoom (which you can do in the app), the physical buttons on the device are a little easier to deal with when you are trying to check when half asleep.
      * I'd avoid the cheaper C220/C225 versions. We got a C220 for the grandparent's house. The aspect ratio on the parent unit screen actually cuts off the edges of the camera view (think going from 16:9 widescreen back to 4:3). Widescreen view is still visible via the app though, so this is a limitation of the smaller parent unit. The smaller parent unit also seems to have an even worse speaker than the 5" model, and is comparatively very quiet.

  • I highly recommend the mirabella baby cam from kmart If you don't want a screen and happy to use the mobile app

  • For this price it is worth it. Not many out there have a monitor and wifi. It's been on sale in Myer for ages. Extra camera(with wifi) is $59 on myer website. It isn't perfect but we're onto our 3rd different brand. If anyone has a better option for sub $200 price I'd love to know.

  • I recommend VTech baby monitor. (RM5864HD/RM7764HD/RM5764HD). Local stock is expensive. I bought 2 from eBay recently. About $115 each shipped from USA. The camera is very clear. Highly recommended

    • Where did you find any of those VTech models for $115? I've looked around and they're all $200+, or broken and just "for parts".

  • I personally found there was too much of a lag with wi-fi monitors for my liking. It's definitely something worth considering.

  • I bought this one https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/616514 and it’s been really good. Camera has tilt and pan, good range with it and clear image in both day and night.

  • Plz stay away from this garbage.
