I enjoyed 1, loved 2, was indifferent towards 3 and absolutely hated Andromeda. A large part of the enjoyment of the first 2 was the sci fi aspect. The world building, lore and story were enjoyable. Just don't get excited about how they wrap it up in 3. Avoid Andromeda, it is just a turd of a game. EDIT: Looks like this is just the trilogy, not Andromeda as well…. which is good. Means you won't be tempted to play the dumpster fire.
I think you're being a bit unfair to Andromeda. It doesn't hold a candle to the original games, but it certainly isn't a dumpster fire.
You might be right. I suppose as a stand alone game, someone might enjoy it. I just felt going from a playthrough of 2 to this was such a let down. The story-telling, combat mechanics and high number glitches were just such a let down for me.
If you love Sci fi then it is a must just for the story

Definitely worth it, but personally I would get it on Steam.
What's the point when Steam still requires you to install Origin and make an EA account just to play it? I personally wouldn't pay $40 extra for it on Steam.
