    Thank me later

    For what?

      • Thank me later

Good one. I almost missed the sarcasm.

    thanks but no, thanks

It is nice. If it were $3500..

  • +5

$3000 would be a good price for this system. Also seems weird to pair a non-overclockable CPU with a 240mm liquid cooler with no option to upgrade.

seems weird to have a non-overclockable CPU on a $5000 computer..

      • +9

Weird to think people spending $5k on a prebuilt know how to overclock

This PC is for the good old r/entiltedkids or if you want the exact specs and dont want to wait for a 3080. (The White Strix Model)

I recently purchased the 5800X version of this for the same price, total parts cost without the 3080 is $2512, meaning you're putting down $2331 for the card, which is pretty standard for the market, plus you get everything built for you as well.

  • Good hardware - great gaming PC but i dont know if i would call it s 'bargain' probably under 4k this would better but i understand parts are a premium

Anyone looking into this would need to factor in an addition cost of at least 400-500+ on a monitor

Lol OP was demanding appreciation so thought this was a 3090 prebuild…

Actually even with a 3090 thrown in this still isn't anything to clap for 🙃

  • +4

Makes this Alienware 3090 deal look cheap for the same price!

    • Dual fan on a 3090 in a Dell case. You might be able to roast a chicken in the exhaust.

  • +5

Paying $5k still to get a 3080. lol

You're going to have to show up with something better than that if you want any "thanks". This is Ozbargain.

You sure you didn't miss ticking the "Rep" or "Associated" flag when making your post?

As others above have said, not a deal.

For the uninitiated people that is spoiled by the cheap builds from techfast etc, this build is not overpriced at all. Here is the pcpartpicker for the same build (probably some branding difference in parts) and closest priced motherboard since z590-F is not in pcpartpicker yet and the GPU is currently sold out everywhere so no price there.

    https://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/6ZGvxc
$2748.00 Excluding cable sleeve and GPU and operating system

    Approximate of other parts:
    $100 - Cable sleeve
$2500 - Strix 3080 OC (If you can even get a hold of it at this price)
    $100 - 5x Asus RGB fans (I guess)
$100 - Windows (or cheaper if you know where to look)

If you build yourself with the same parts, you will be looking at least $5000 with 0 hope to get the GPU for the next 6 months.

My own personal PC cost me $4000 using above average parts with a 3080 that I build on launch. What makes people think that a PC with good parts will cost any less?

    • Fair enough but considering there have been 3080 builds from HP Omen and Alienware from $2600, with only some differences such as more RAM and storage, this isn't that cheap in comparison. Compared to those if this were priced at $3000 or slightly more it would be a great deal.

      • Absolutely. It won't be able to compete with HP or Dell since they manufacture their own parts to levy the cost of the end product. Most parts given by dell is subpar anyway, their mobo does not have as good VRM and cooling as third party, RAM with high cas latency and low speed, low storage space with slow m.2. Ultimately, their machine performs the same as techfast which is at the same price point using budget parts.

I also understand that some people just want a PC to play some games and general usage and premium PC builders like aftershock is simply too expensive.

If someone is already planning a build similar to this, they actually will save money buying this rather than purchasing parts individually.

Sorry mate but not a great deal.

  • Thanks OP. Bought 5
