    Damn you! I've been waiting for these white units to go on sale for months! I was planning a new build for July but a couple of weeks ago I ended up ordering an Alienware R12 for mining instead. If my 3080 ends up being nerfed I'll still do my custom build but these won't be on special then. Damn you!

  • Hey you have a warehouse in Perth .. is pick up possible?? I can give a WA postcode to get a shipping price and I can select free pickup also - but there is no address for Perth on your site?

      I just bought the rm550x for $99 from amazon

      • Okay but how is that relevant to this 850W power supply?

        • They are the same brand and model
          Both on a significant discount.
          If anyone that had any questions regarding the build quality or specifics like the braided cable I would be able to help.
          I'm glad I could clarify for ya

      The PCI-E power cables on these are Chungus at the GPU end. A single cable run splits into two 6+2 pin at the GPU. Way too much heat shrink. The 24pin is also a solid mass.

      Coming from the 2010 AX850, the cable build quality is definitely a downgrade.

        This pic says the cables might be different now …

        • Yeah I bought my RM750x (white) earlier this year and I believe there was a change to the cables about a year after the product first debuted. My cables look like the second picture TheSnyper has posted. Slightly less thick.

          • @Spawn Peak: Ah, maybe the black version was not updated, or there is two versions about. Mine was delivered from Amazon last week.
            I got some individual sleeved extensions, but that's an extra $40 I didn't want to spend.

            The white edition being more expensive RRP may explain the better cables also.

            Found this on Reddit (7 months old post);

            https://www.reddit.com/r/Corsair/comments/j9p6n1/rm850x_whit…

            "I watched some unboxings of the rm850x and I saw they had sleeved cables. However, when I bought this PSU I got these ugly ones with it. Does anyone know how come I got different cables?"

    • Owned one for the last 6mths powering a 5800x/3080 on and mining almost 24/7 without a single hiccup. Cables look nice too for bog standard.
