JBL Link Bar.
BigW lists it incorrectly as, JBL Link soundbar With Android Built-in.
Goes with the $100 SW10 Subwoofer deal from JBL online, from a few months back; https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/601149
Online only.
None left in WA for pickup, however I did get my order through before stock showed as delivery only.
$34 delivery option available (guessing that cost varies).
$10 off coupon avilable for BIG W online orders overs $100 - kudos to OP.

I'm tempted…where's the link to the 2.1 Atmos system with 8" sub?
For under $200? Where
For under $200? Where
reviews are so so
Reviews of the Link bar alone as so-so, most citing lack of bass.
Can I connect my Pioneer sub via coaxial to the soundbar?
No, only the sub they sell separately will connect
If I recall this has been $249 for a long time. Looks like a final drop to clear stock.
I would spend an extra 60 bucks to get the Hisense 300W ATMOS soundbar+sub system currently on sale everywhere (RRP $599). Lowest price here:
https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/623921I think they are different, this one supports linking all your devices.
You can add Google Chromecast to this. And get a lot better sound for not much extra.
Not quite the same since Chromecast HDMI units can’t be used in a speaker group for multi room audio.
I think you can with the link soundbar (I know you can with JBL link portable)
@watts: Chromecast can now be added to a speaker group. Has been like that for 12 months or so.
@scottb721: Right you are. Thanks for clarifying.
reviews are very bad cancelled my order
This or the every so popular Edifier R1280DB on ozbargain?
I have an old non smart tv and i need a sound bar. Will this solve both problems?
Everyones comments are putting me off though and the funcionality issues of android tvAlternative is Google tv chromecast + Yas 108b on sale for for $250 ($100 + $150)
Well it's a soundbar with Android TV/Chromecast built in, so yes.
Yes and no. The android on this is nowhere near as good as the Google tv, but the sound here is much bigger than the base Yama so take your pick.
If you are not vested in the JBL link feature and just want better sound with smart TV features, get Google TV/Chromecast and a complete soundbar/sub set up https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/623921
This unit has decent review.yes exactly what Im after but this is $190 vs others which are way more but google tv does have much better reviews plus my tv remote is old and power button is gone and I heard google tv remote can be used as a universal remote which is tempting.
I have a smart TV with built-in Android etc but find it buggy and frustrating. I used Chromecast 4K and now Google TV, both provide much more pleasant experience.
Which I guess i will get with the JBL route. OK I will got the google tv/decent soundbar route
thanks people
The 5.1 version has much better review online, but not on sale at the moment.
Too bad the sub isn't on sale anymore.
And I have one with sub, it's not actually a bad bar for general use. Great for entertainment like music etc. Not for a home theatre or any surround or anything like that.
Hi AndyRoo,
Hoping you can answer a few questions for me.
Obviously not going to provide the full home theatre experience but do you use it for watching TV and movies? How does it go?
My intended use is on a very open plan loungeroom with multiple stairway entrances and no budget friendly home theatre possibilities.Any syncing issues or other functionally concerns?
Also, do you use it to cast music? With Google home multi room setup?
Also, do you know if it can be hooked up to a generic sub?
Thanks.
Hi, I got this in the boxing day deals last year. for a 2.1 channel systen, the sound is good but you will definaty need the link sub otherwise it is low sound for a lounge.
The updates to android tv part make fixes some of the early issues that other reviews mentioned. Overall it is not bad and can serve as a hub for other devices.
As with all other 2.1 systems, due to lack of a good central speaker, the dialogues in some cases may bot be crystal clear but overall sound is good. The link woofer is amazing for a boom
Thanks heaps. Between you and AndyRoo you've covered everything I could possibly want to know.
I'll have to search for the sub.
Can't be hooked up to a generic sup. Only their genuine wireless one which isn't bad. It's pretty loud and sounds good. Only sync issues I have had is the remote has dropped sync a couple of times which was annoying. I cast music to it with Google home no issues, unless I try in a group with speakers then there is issues sometimes, but these are the same issues I have with my other TVs with Google TVs. I didn't use the android on it very much, it was a little sluggish and I didn't need it as I have a Xbox and now a Google tv on it. Arc works fine. Hope this helps
Thanks heaps. Between you and bargainHunterOz you've covered everything I'd want to know.
Appreciate it.
Finally got the bar yesterday to go with the SW10 from pre-xmas deal.
From the manual and also on the JBL website - "Note: LINK BAR is intended to be used for streaming music…"
This is a 2 or 2.1 channel system.
It is, as stated, designed for music and the streaming of, not movies - ATMOS, not here. 7.1, elsewhere also.
It is however of exceptional quality, as are all of JBL's products. Hisense, as an example, is not.
You do need the SW10 sub or it is pointless.
With the SW10, this is easily worth the original asking price. If you didn't get the combo when it was $450, $400 or for less than $300 this time, I hope it was because you didn't get what this product was. Keeping the hope rolling that you didn't reply to OP with something pointless which may have swayed some fellow OzB community members away from getting this bargain in the process.
If you did get get one, well done. Enjoy.
Bargain of the year? Easily.
Tempting. But I would want Dolby Atmos for any soundbar in 2021.
