In my experience, no. SC seems to be cheaper on oils with retail prices alone.
At normal price, 5 litres of Castrol Edge 5W-30 is $69 at SCA, and $85 at Repco. Just one example.
At one point is was like $30- for 5 ltrs. Not bad oil. Should have stocked up.
Yeah, I remember it being like $30 each. That was like 2 years ago. I bought 4 and they are all gone now.
damn, damn, and damn. I just bought some Castrol Edge 5W-30 yesterday. Might have to buy another bottle or two.

Something to note, Kmart has pretty good prices on engine oil, i noticed Shell Helix HX3 20W-50 $20 ($22.50 @ SCA) and Castrol GTX 20W-50 $26.97 ($26.95 @ SCA)
Avoid mineral oils if you can though
Nothing wrong with mineral oils. They are of much higher quality than they used to be with much tougher API/ACEA standards they must meet. With proper oil change intervals, a quality mineral oil will serve 90% of the population out there. If you go to a dealer, majority of the time they use a bulk mineral oil.
@mrhorseham - 20W-50 is too thick for new cars. At least try 10w-40 or better 10w-30. If you want good cheap oil, repco has the Valvoline XLD Premium 15W-40 on sale for $14.99. It is SAE SM rated. New cars from overseas even recommends 0w-20.
I love how predictable these guys (Super Cheap and Repco) are. 20% sale every Boxing Day, Oz Day, Easter weekend, Anzac Day etc. =)

there was a tag at wetheril park that said 25%, the person who served me gave me 20% so i asked for the extra five, in which she actually gave me an extra 5%, which i then kind of had to explain that giving me an extra 5% isnt the same as giving me 25% of the original, she didnt understand, but after trying to explain it she did it. =D
