are the prices currently listed already 20% off or it is 20% off that? if they're showing the discounted price already I is not impressed.
"Prices Displayed Inclusive of Discount". Guess you're not impressed then…
Was looking for a Yamaha RX-V671, not a very good price, ppl have been getting them for ~$650 on WP whilst the discounted price is $790.
you can talk bing lee and jb down to $655 with no real problems
hang on, is this on, or off, or often, or off on off?
Just bought Pioneer VSX1021 945W 7.1 Channel 3D AV Receiver for $763.39.
Great :)
Just before, everyone gets too excited about these deals, you may wish to compare the prices after 20% off, with these:
http://www.amazon.com/Pioneer-VSX-1021-K-Theater-Receiver-Gl…
Yes, the voltage may be different, but this does not explain the difference in price. With regard to voltage adjust, I suggest setting of the voltage is used by the manufacturers as a tool to price discriminate. When you buy a laptop or video camera, the power supply usually works 100-240 volts. JBhifi needs to do a 50% off, in order to be competitive. Why do we accept being over charged?
johnd320 is right. Its disgusting how much we are getting overcharged in Australia.
Prior this I was thinking of getting the Pioneer VSX-1021 from amazon for bit less that $500 AUD (that's including shipping). Than you need to buy step up transformer (decent ~ $100-$150)as the pioneer doesnt have universal PS.
All up you will save $100 compare to this deal from JB HIFI, which in my case was not worth it.
Just buy you receiver from amazon Germany, Italy or the UK. Same voltage but half the price of an Australian retailer. I just bought a Onkyo tx-nr609 for $460 with shipping. It retails at JB for just under $1000. Put the order through last Friday and it was here yesterday (Tuesday).
Please support Australian retailers
Spot on!! I did exactly that about 2 months ago, got it from Amazon Germany (also Onkyo nr609, same price, but I think it actually came to about $500 (incl. shipping/CC charges).
It's an awesome bit of kit!
I would recommend anyone whose looking to buy a receiver to do the same!! Stuff the Aussie retailers who often overcharge double of what the rest of the world are paying!!how much is the shipping fee from Amazon DE for something the size of a receiver?
staffs of amazon may get 8 dollars an hour, that is the reason why everything is cheap in America.
you get the australian manufacturers warranty as well. instead of sending it back overseas.
you would think bringing it back to the manufacturers if it was faulty but they do check serial numbers and would know if its from overseas.
so as johnd320 said, for the $100 that you save ? not worth the trouble.
Lol a true oz bargainer will do their research..that comment holds true for some brands but not for others.. e.g. Onkyo we pay double the price here in Oz. Just do a search here in ozbargain for onkyo and you will see the consensus here.
Paying 500 instead of 1000 dollars is worth the trouble IMO.
Sorry, I can't take the credit: "for the $100 that you save ? not worth the trouble". That statement was from mikef.
Hey OP are you Jb HI Fi REP?
Does 10% off notebooks means the Toshiba Z830 ultrabook is only $1047?
http://www.jbhifi.com.au/computers/toshiba/13-inch-ultrabook…NO. "Prices Displayed Inclusive of Discount".
I am not JBHIFI REP, I am not sure how to get ride of REP before my username.
its easy..just send your resignation letter JB Hi Fi management :-))
Hi sateesh, you must have clicked the 'I am a store representative' checkbox when you submitted the deal. I've unchecked it for you now.
What about the takers? They are someone too.
Why can Dick Smith sell the Panasonic TZ20 camera for close to International prices, yet JBHIFI needs to offer 20% off? Even with 20% off, JBHIFI is still too expensive, compared to International prices. Boycott JBHIFI until they give us competitive prices. JBHIFI is not as cheap as they used to be!
Is that on sale items too ?
